Duck's Cottage

One of my FAVORITE local coffee shops. I absolutely adore their Coconut Crunch coffee - all time favorite.
They have also been very adamant about keeping their staff and patrons safe & healthy during COVID which I ADORE them for. Their staff is always friendly, coffee is always bomb and they always have a great selection of reads!

Good coffee but very overcrowded. Limited book selection. Needs bigger location.

We come done to the outer banks every year. This was our first time in Duck and our first time visiting this coffee shop. We were immediately hooked, we came every day after we found it. The staff was so nice and friendly. The coffee is AMAZING. I can't wait to come back to this little gem next year. I bought a local book and was reading it to my kids while we were here each night. A perfect new tradition to add.

If I'm vacationing in Duck, I stop here the first morning and get a delicious coffee and pick up a book or 2 for the beach. I love how they have handwritten notes describing some of the books they've read or their favorite selection. A cozy local spot that has the best kind of charm and a great cup of coffee!

Hands down the worst cup of coffee I ever had. That's an achievement because I did 26 years in the navy. I have it two stars because of you get a specialty fruity tooty half milk half the devils soul, it comes out ok. If you just like regular coffee this place is a hard pass

Love, love , love! It was our first time in Duck and fell in love with this coffee shop! It’s divine. Loved the coconut and the red velvet biscotti. We tried iced coffee, hot coffee and their specially drinks all so delicious and very reasonably priced. Picked up a bag of the Coconut Crunch coffee for home! This will be my go to coffee place when visiting the OBX!

We have been coming to OBX since 2002 and are sure to visit Duck’s Cottage several times each trip. We were just there today and greatly appreciated the mitigation strategies the store has in place. The staff was so friendly and pleasant. When I asked my kids what store they wanted to go to they answered “The book store!” I can’t say no to that! Love the new travel mugs too!

Good Coffee. Love that it's a bookshop with a great selection with reading lists and recommendations! Get on their email list for suggestions for what to check out on the regular. Always love coming here and supporting a local business :)

A wonderful coffee shop and book store! The employees were swift and friendly and they have lovely selections both of drinks and treats and books. I highly recommend a dirty iced chai with out milk and the iced mucky duck. An adorable place I look forward to returning.
