The Chill Spot - ice cream and espresso

Still our favorite ice cream shop. The is the best ice cream shop in Corolla. They have great ice cream and a wonderful staff year after year. You have to be patient because the lines are long but it is worth the wait.

Our first time vacationing in OBX and our first time at The Chill Spot. Ice cream was fine, although they had run out of vanilla so we couldn't get any sundaes. Even though there was a sign on the door requiring masks, as soon as all customers were served near closing time, all the servers took off their masks, even those still behind the ice cream counter. They all had to remask when my husband went back in for more napkins. It made everyone in our group a little uneasy.

Strawberry, mint chocolate chip, and double chocolate fudge are all delicious. And the people are super down to earth and easy going. A chill spot for a cool treat. 100% recommend.

Ice cream was so great that we returned a second time after trying other places that was closer. We will return again during our stay. Social distancing was also enforced with the servers wearing masks and having markings on the ground.

Had great service and wonderful ice cream! The flavors were all delicious and they had super cool sundaes! Would definitely recommend going here!

Been coming here every year for vacation. Roughly 8 years. Ice cream still good. 5 employees there....none doing what they should. Goofing around eating candy....throwing candy. Place was nasty dirty.....never seen it like that before. Hope owners kick some asses and clean it up for next year.

Super friendly, everyone in masks and following social distancing. Also the waffle cones were perfection. Favorite flavors from our group were the blueberry cheesecake and the caramel pretzel.

Good variety and service. The prices may be competitive amongst other beach ice cream shops but still seem a little high. It cost $11 to get a single scoop of ice cream and a small milkshake.

Great ice cream, reasonable prices, and extremely friendly staff. Will definitely be back!
