The Chill Spot - ice cream and espresso

During our week in Corolla, we stopped here 4 different times. Not only did we love all of the different flavors we tried, but we saw a number of different staff, all of whom were welcoming and friendly, and some who even recognized us toward the end of the week. This spot was our favorite place in OBX!

The people were very friendly and helpful, and they had a large variety of delicious ice cream. The waffle cones were also made in the shop which was fun.

Friendly service, delicious flavors, fresh made cones. Great ice cream always hits the spot on a hot summer day.

2/10 overall experience. The staff did not greet us and rolled their eyes when we asked for a sample. The owner looks to have a weird relationship with the staff, which made my husband and I very uncomfortable. Looks like we aren't the only one's who had this experience. Ice cream is decent, but the bad attitude and weird dynamic is not worth it. Go elsewhere.

Line began 15 or so feet outside, went very quickly. Great ice cream, 30 bucks for all 5 of us(one kid cone) nice selection of flavors. Nice staff even though they were training people.

My family and I visited while on vacation. The ice cream is excellent and the staff is very friendly. Everyone had on masks and we felt comfortable there. I watched the cashier wipe down the screen for cleaning, even though it was super busy! We will be back again this week! Thank you!!

Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich. Delicious. it is over $5 so a little pricey but it is huge and tasty. They also give you a bowl to help out. The cookies are pretty good, they are hard enough to not make a big mess, I would prefer a little softer cookie but not much more good variety of ice cream.

Social distancing was great, they made my family and I feel very safe and I appreciated their cleanliness.
Will come here again on next vacation.

Recommend for all families looking for some great ice cream in a safe environment!

DO. NOT. GO. HERE. My husband and I got our ice cream at 9:00 which was an hour to their closing time. The girls working were extremely passive aggressive and did not greet us. They seemed extremely aggravated to be serving us which made us uncomfortable. Ice cream is mediocre and masks were not worn. Definitely put a damper on our vacation in Corolla. You're better off getting ice cream at the local grocery store to avoid snarky behavior and over priced food.

Very cute ice cream shop with a cool beach vibe. The staff is attentive and they have great ice cream. They have a cleaver, creative menu. The owner goes out of his way to accommodate guests and makes sure everyone enjoys themselves! Can’t wait to visit them again as this has become a family tradition on our vacation!
