The Chill Spot - ice cream and espresso

First of all, the girls who works there are super nice. After looking at all the choices forever, we picked pirate treasure and the classics chocolate and vanilla. No toppings. Kiddy’s cup. It was just right for us. My toddlers loved it and they did a drawing that they hanged on the wall. It was like an experience. We will come back and try more flavors.

The staff were fast, friendly, and very helpful!! They have a great variety of YUMMY hard flavors and the basic soft serves. The ice cream tacos are actually realllly good, those waffles that they make the tacos out of are yummy. I will say that the waffle cones themselves are just ok, not the best waffle cone I’ve had but it’s only a $1 up charge so I’d still do it. Also offer “hurricanes” which are toned down DQ blizzards and lots of milkshakes! 10/10 recommend for the evening/midday ice cream run. Bring everyone, they can handle it.

When you walk in you are greeted with smiling faces and the smell of like delicious homemade waffle cones- which is indeed the best smell in the world. Even with a small line we got our order super fast. Great chocolate milkshake, amazing cookies and cream, and the new ice cream sandwiches to go are awesome! Employees were allnice helpful and patient

We came in with a group of twenty at 7PM. The Chill Spot’s crew whipped us in and out within minutes, providing some insanely delicious ice cream in the process. Between the whole gang we tried just about everything on the menu and nobody in our fam had a single bad thing to say. Must have in OBX!

We loved the ice cream and the owner of this shop so much we got a tshirt and visited multiple times! Great atmosphere and the owner is always working hard! Hope he finds help for the busy season!!

The guy running the store was so kind and positive that we had to go twice! Lots of flavors and dairy free options too! Definitely worth a stop while I’m Corolla!

The Best!!! It smells delicious from the moment you walk in. Great choices, great ice cream, great value. Ryan, the owner, is truly the best - kind, helpful, and so good with kids! We rode our bikes there, and my son’s bike seat needed an adjustment before we rode back. I asked Ryan if he by chance had a wrench we could borrow, and he so kindly went above and beyond - he got a tool kit out of his car, was so precious with my son showing him how to fix his bike, and was so patient and helpful. We plan to go back often while we’re here. My family and I are such fans of Ryan and The Chill Spot!!

We had such a lovely visit! Even on a chilly rainy day, the Chill Spot was fairly busy. They had a great selection of delicious treats and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Great spot!!

My family visited this shop last year and this year. We were very pleased with the service and the ice cream. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating of my picky daughter. I would certainly return. No photos. We devoured it. LOL!
