Duck Donuts

Delicious donuts! Be prepared to wait in line, but they're worth the wait.

Very good donuts. It is fun to choose all the combinations. Our favorite was 'the beach'. The donuts were all cake with different glazes, syrups, and toppings. A fun treat while visiting the area. They were very quick about getting them made, but there was a wait and you wait to very close to your neighbor. If you are lucky you can grab the bench inside.

Duck donuts are just incredibly good.
When I told fellow vacationers I was heading to Duck donuts in Corolla, I had a few requests until I told them my favorite was bacon maple glazed.
I immediately had everyone wanting one, or 2 or in my case, 3.

The only downside is the wait. Even online ordering was a 2 hour wait.

I suppose there's something to the phrase
" like a fine wine, Duck donuts are devine".

Well. I may have just made that up.
We have a local Duck donuts so I believe I'll have to start stopping more often.

We spent time placing an online order for all 18 members of our party only to find that there were no pick-up slots were available for the entire day (probably should state that somewhere on the site). Ok, we'll have them tomorrow. We pay in advance and head over to the store for our 10:15 a.m. pick-up the following day. We arrive at 10:12, and when we inquired about our order, we are told, "Well, they won't be ready until at least 10:15." Ok?

At 10:35, after no one called our name or order number, we went inside to ask again about our order. They were sitting on the counter. No one offered an apology or anything of the sort.

Still, we were planning on having them for a birthday dessert for our kiddos, so we brought them home for later.

Upon opening the box, TWO DONUTS of A DOZEN AND A HALF were actually correct. At that point, the store was already closed, so we weren't stretching this disaster out into another day. We just decided that it was not worth it to go back again.

This company has gone way downhill as they've expanded.

Donuts served hot and made to order... Design your own donuts too. These are delicious cake style donuts with generous toppings.

Super tasty fresh donuts! Crowded in the morning, so plan to wait at least 30 minutes if you come before 11.

Excellent service despite how busy they were. We preordered, but did have to do so 3 days in advance since it was a really busy week. Donuts were great. They were moving very efficiently and the employees were very sweet!

Duck donuts is part of the experience of OBX. Though they've franchised since then, it's always so much better in OBX getting dounts for the whole house!

This place is so good. The donuts are off the chain. Still warm when you get them. Customizable. Super fun. My kiddo likes watching them through the glass too. She fell, and the guy gave her a donut. I was there with two kids by myself, and they were super nice to me. One of the employees carried my donuts out to my car to help me!

My boyfriend and I visited the Corolla location where they told us they were only accepting online orders so we sat in the car and placed an online order. We waited for a good 40 minutes and went inside to get the donuts only for the girl to tell us they were closed for the season and they ran out of dough so they didn’t make our order. I’m furious that we wasted our time waiting and the website let me place an order and no one from the store could contact me to tell me they were out of dough? The store has the customer’s phone numbers but yet they don’t call them in situations like this. Then my boyfriend went inside the store to get a refund for the donuts they never made for us and one of the workers was trying to give him a couple of T-shirts to make up for it. A couple of T-shirts wasn’t going to equal the $48 he paid for donuts. Getting his money back was a hassle with them. I will never go back to this location.
