Einstein Bros. Bagels

Stopped by Einstein's around 12:20PM to grab a bite before my flight. Ordered a turkey, bacon, and avocado on a honey whole wheat bagel (my preference over the ciabatta). Very delicious and quick, which was surprising because I was about 7th in line when I walked up! The staff was friendly and the cashier was efficient! Wish I had gotten his name so I could thank him here. :)

Food was good and although there was a long line it went pretty quick. Customer service was exceptional though! Refreshing to talk to someone so upbeat at an airport.

7/21/19, 1:02pm on the receipt. Host Davette, EBB234. Einstein Brothers in the Charlotte airport terminal E. Experienced racism from the employees. Waited in line with my son and when I ordered I got a silent glare. She was not like that with the people that were in front of of me. I was polite and said please and thank you. 8 people got their food before us even though 6 of them were after us in line. I could see our order blinking in the screen in red for 15 minutes. Eventually there was no line and no one left for them to give food to. They still didn’t even start our order. They just started laughing with each other. The last guy that got served said to me “I guess they forgot your order.” I said “I guess so.” I was still polite and I didn’t want to set a bad example for my son. I went to the counter and politely said that we were waiting on our order. Other people were now getting into line and she said “I got you.” Then she started on our order. It shouldn’t matter what race I am or the ladies behind the counter were. I happen to be white and the ladies happen to be African American. It was even obvious to my son that we just experienced racism. I’m sure they experience it way more than I do in life, but that doesn’t make it acceptable. I’m sure Einstein Brothers does not condone this type of staff behavior, but still I will never go to Einstein again.

Food was good however the customer service left something to be desired. I find it rather aggravating when I'm in airport (possibly in a rush to get to my gate) and the cashier thinks taking selfies with a coworker to be more important than helping a guest.

My daughter and I stood in line this morning, starving hungry for over 30 minutes. I ordered a humus veg out that had NO humus on it!! It’s literally the ONE ingredient on a “humus” bagel. Total waste of $25. This is unacceptable. I’m very disappointed.

Very poor quality of food. My wife and I had a quick bite here and received food poisoning. Staff was nice but it is not fun throwing up in airport bathrooms. This was the only thing we ate that day so we are quite certain it was their food. Our last trip to Einstein Bros. For the foreseeable future. Used to be a favorite unfortunately.

Just stopped and asked if we could buy coffee by the bag like I used to and the girl behind the counter said and I quote "No, we're not Starbucks." What kind of service is that? They closed the store in Augusta, Ga and I usually bought coffee when I see a Einstein. Never had a problem before. Guess I'll stick with Starbucks. They have better service.

There was miscommunication on my order but the staff quickly remade it and didn't charge me the difference on the sandwich. The green Chile breakfast sandwich was great - but spicy! Good people working there this morning.
