Stick Boy Bread Company

Everything I have tried is delicious from Stick Boy Bread Company, Pecan pie, Apple pie, Pumpkin Walnut bread and old world sourdough bread!

I was visiting Boone for a week and stopped here on a whim. I was so pleased with the experience that I went back four more times during my vacation, including a stop on my way out of town that added 30mins to my drive home! Needless to say, I'm a big fan.

I got their seasonal gingerbread drink and an assortment of pastries each time. The chocolate hazelnut galette is so rich and satisfying (and huge! definitely shareable or a eat over 2 days endeavor).The scones were a less sweet, but just as delicious option. And the almond croissant was sold out on two of my visits, but I was lucky enough to snag it on my other two visits. The pastries were all fresh and clearly made with love.

The staff was friendly and helpful, and the store seemed to be covid compliant, only allowing 5 customers in at a time. They asked me to wait outside a couple times so they could keep things moving.

I will visit here every time I come to Boone and I recommend you do the same!

Stick Boy Bread Company is a great bakery. They split their establishment in two, selling coffee on one side and pastries/bread on the other. I have been several times, and they always have different options for their pastries. I have never had one that I thought was bad. The staff here are very knowledgeable and always nice. They always seem to give consistently good service, no matter how hard they are working or how busy they are. It is also in such convenient spot for people living on campus or near east side of campus.

Amazing bakery items. We've visited several times while in the area and were delighted every time. The staff were great. Safety protocols were well done. This place could easily become a daily habit if we were living in the area. Definitely worth stopping by!

Great service makes all the difference here. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Keep up the great work and beautiful smiles! Very enjoyable and delicious bakery. We were thrilled to find this jewel. Tremendous sticky buns, breads, other treats and great coffee.

This establishment deserves 5 stars however its success is its own undoing. This place gets slammed with customers for breakfast and lunch resulting in very long single service line, excessive wait times and a lack of seating exacerbated by customers who wish to linger. The food, coffee, baked goods, etc. are all 5 stars. All the staff is very polite and beyond competent. I just wish they would move to a larger place and redesign the workflow. Don't get me wrong, it's a great place with wonderful food and beverage. Just be prepared to wait and possibly get your order to go.

Went to Stick Boy Bread Company today for the first time. It was awesome, the staff was super friendly and helpful. The selection was great and we got there at 4:30 pm. How many places have that great a selection so late. This may have been my first time, but not my last. Go and taste for yourself. Did I mention they have a coffee bar also!

Brandon, You are a life saver!!! Thank you so so much for taking my cake that was a disaster (transported from Concord, NC to Banner Elk, NC, in a car blew a tire, ran off road and cake, well you can figure out the rest) and trasnformed it back into a beautiful, two tier cake! Thanks for taking your time, on a very short notice, to fix this cake and make it a wonderful day for me and for my son's rehersal's dinner. You have wonderful talent to do what you do. My hat's off to you! The staff was aslo very comforting when I arrived. If your looking for a bakery, this isn't your usual one, everyone is very caring and dedicated to what they do there. Would highly recommend anyone looking to do any type of special cake. Brandon has many years of experience and will do a wonderful job! Thanks Brandon!! I WOULD GIVE MORE STARS IF I COULD!!

Stick Boy is definitely somewhere I would come back to again and again if I lived locally. All the employees were very friendly and made great suggestions, the pastries we tried were fresh and delicious, and the breads looked yummy! When I’m in the area next, I’ll definitely be stopping by to try something new.

We have been buying bread, pastires, cakes, and other such tasty things from StickBoy for years, and we have never been disappointed by either the food, or service. A truly indispensable bakery.
