Quite popular for cheesecake it seems. Staff was courteous and attentive. Cute little shop.

I have never been a customer of this place yet still a recipient of its lovely items. Today my sister brought home a lavender lemon cake. This cake was perfectly moist and elegantly stacked and then layers and I was told it was vegan after I ate it . I have also had a lovely blueberry bread which is not sweet at all just tasty and Al dente she brought home today also along with that elegant cake a loaf of whole wheat bread which was completely dense and felt like a brick I can't wait to sample it tomorrow morning for toast

The staff here is always on point. They're friendly and make awesome stuff.

Exceptional food, especially considering the price. My husband had the chicken sandwich and he said that was the most incredible one he’s ever had. The bacon they serve is glorious thick cut yummy bacon! Smoothies are super good too. Yoghurt based ones taste like fresh kefir. Morning service when owner is there is incredible. Little slower/confused in the afternoon.

As delicious as the food is here, I am turned off from learning that the employees are only paid a salary of $3.50 with tips taking up the rest of the salary.

If a business needs to take advantage on simple generous patronage to pay their staff instead of paying a livable wage out of company earnings, then the business should not exist. Period.

One of my favorite parts of coming to Boone is stopping here for a pastry or treat! The staff are always kind and helpful; even with lines out the door, its never a chore to wait and the staff works hard to keep everyone moving. Besides the amazing bread and sweets (I’m partial to the almond croissants), they also stock coffee, veggies, cheese, and many other local offerings. Def recommend coming here!

I love Stick Boy with all my heart! They always have a great selection of dairy-free bread. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that they don’t offer any vegan desserts or gluten-free offerings of any sort. Awesome, friendly staff, and implementing great COVID protocols. I love the shaker squash, true grit and sour dough loaves the most!

Stick Boys has the best pastries, baked goods, etc. you can find. Stop by for a coffee and something sweet and you will never be disappointed. The company is very community oriented, is local, and supportive of the environment so be sure to patronize them. Staff is great and helpful for whatever your needs are. A definite recommend.

Overall good establishment. Employees are kind, efficient, and are eager to help out.

However, this place is a bread bakery, and I'm disappointed to say that they seem to have been paying much less attention to the bread quality in recent years. Yes, the bread is good, but no better than bread you could get from LaBrea at HT or Publix Bakery bread. This wasn't the case 2-3 years ago.

Stick boy bread was something special and unfortunately that special touch to the bread seems to be slipping away. If a bit more detail was paid in mind to the bread making, (possibly cut down on making a million other bakery items, maybe leave the novelty pastries and coffee to stick boy kitchen, and keep the cookies and bread/simple coffee brewing to the bread co.) I feel like that special "pizazz" would return soon.

However, that's just my take. I'm not a bread maker or a bread expert, this is just a pattern I've noticed as of late. I say this to be constructive, as I know the ownership cares greatly about the future of this establishment and customer concerns.
