Local Lion

These are easily the worst donuts I’ve ever had. They were not sweet at all. They just tasted like dry day old dough. Zero flavor. I tried 6 different ones and didn’t eat more than a small bite of each. Super disappointing.

Great donuts, coffee, and friendly service! Josiah is great and is very knowledgeable about coffee. My only complaint is that the Wifi sometimes gets overloaded, so it's not always the best place to do work.

Doughnuts were okay. Better than a supermarket but not as good as some other independent bakers. A little denser than I’d hope. I went at 4pm. Maybe better earlier in the day.

Great coffee and even more amazing donuts. A great option so I don't have to get my donuts from the soon to be open Krispy Kreme. I am trying to erase from my mind seeing the cashier/server picking his nose this morning during a lull in orders. I decided not to ask him to serve me a donut and left. Management needs to tell the servers to keep their hands out of their orfices.

So we've been there twice, and the coffee is REALLY good. But I'm really lactose intolerant, so it's important that I don't have any more than trace amounts of dairy. I'm pretty sure the "almond milk" latte I ordered this evening was actually dairy milk. I have no proof other than the fact that in retrospect, my husband nor I thought it tasted like almond milk, and that I'm very sick tonight. That's enough proof for me to correlate it with the coffee I was served...

I'll probably go back because when made correctly, their coffee is delicious. But this is serious and could be a lot worse if I were someone whose reaction included anaphylaxis or similarly severe effects.

ABSOLUTELY love that they have gluten free donuts on Fridays. we live in Raleigh, but every time we're up in Boone on a Friday I go here.

Local lion is very cozy and romantic for a coffee shop. Plus their donuts are epic. They have the best price for a single flavor latte in Boone

My son and I stopped in for a smoothie this morning to kill some time. The staff was fast taking my order and the ambiance was perfect for us. I also picked up a pre-made Asian Chicken Salad and it was DELICIOUS for lunch. We will be back!
