This is the best coffee I have ever had, hands down. They have great dark roasts, but their light roasts are also very good. If you are looking for a cup of coffee, this is the place to get it.

Our first time trying this coffee, so we ordered a latte, chai tea and a muffin. We felt that the chai tea was definitely on the weak side in terms of flavor. The latte was just okay as well. It was definitely on the bitter side, so either the beans were over-roasted or the espresso shot over-extracted. On the upside, the muffin was delicious, and the service was good.

The town really has two coffee shops, and they are each great in their own way. If what you want is just good, straightforward coffee quick, Dynamite is the spot. They don't have much bakery selection, nor a bunch of fancy espresso creations; they do the basics and they do them well. Due to this, and not being downtown, it's always so much quicker to pop in and get out quickly. They also sell their phenomenal in-house roasted beans by the pound at not unreasonable prices, ground to your specifications, or, for me, the harder to find whole beans.

Absolutely love Dynamite coffee! There is several varieties and blends that all have a distinct taste. The staff there is amazing (especially the guy with the longer black hair) and super friendly and always remembers your face. The shop is comfortable and I love the turntable that they play records on! You.just can't beat it here.

Dynamite has a great selection and such wonderful service! They'll deliver it to our business, Thirteen Pennies Café.

I absolutely love Dynamite Roasting Company, but sadly I believe I have had my last cup. I drive 1.5 hours to and from Black Mountain once a month to stock up on coffee from the coffee shop in Black Mountain. I am well aware they close at 3pm on Saturdays. I was held up in traffic on 40 and pulled into their parking lot at 3:02 as customers were walking away from the window with hot cups of coffee. I ran to the window and saw a closed sign. A gentleman came to the window and I explained that I drove 3 hours round trip specifically to get four pounds of coffee. He simply shrugged and said my system is down and shut the window. Done.

Such a cool spot to start a day. Great coffee and very talented barista. One entire section houses an extensive album collection with old school phono player.

Disappointed because I've been purchasing this coffee for YEARS at Whole Foods. Stopped by to purchase some beans coming home from Black Mountain and the staff were INCREDIBLY UNFRIENDLY!!! There were 5 people in there without masks, altho the staff were wearing theirs. A mother & daughter came out when we entered w/o masks, so we didn't wear ours. Two people in line in front of us w/o masks. When my friend & I got to the counter, the young man behind the counter says, 'do you have your mask?' and gave us a mask to wear. My friend and I are in our 50s, everyone else in there w/o masks were teens/twenties....the young folks behind the counter didn't ask THE YOUNG PEOPLE to wear masks...only us older gals. What's wrong with this picture? They got our coffee beans, but I'm telling you...RUDE, and certainly unkind. Listen up youngsters, be kind ~ it's not that hard!!!! You never know who your locals are.

Delicious coffee! I hate to make comparisons, but I prefer this over the Dripolator (also in Black Mountain). The coffee is smooth and flavorful, and the kcups are delicious! Definitely stop here if you’re in town.
