Finally, a great cup of Joe. The only decent coffee place around... an oasis for coffee lovers. Modernized interior/exterior, owner was very friendly. My cappuccino was great, my wife's comment on their Chai tea latte: it was the best she's ever had! A creamy, rich delicious aromatic flavorful experience!

Omg first of all what a cute little place. Kasey and Waylon we’re so sweet and very kind to us and gave us suggestions based on the stuff we liked. They gave us detailed suggestions and let me tell you it was delicious! Not only was the food good but Waylon set up a table and chairs outside for us to hangout and eat.

Pretty nice. Really clean, service was fairly fast. Prices weren’t too bad

Great place! I’m not a big coffee drinker but I stopped by with a friend. I explained that to “Waylon” working there and after asking me a few questions he was confident he could make me a drink I would like. He definitely delivered!!

Nice quiet coffee shop with plenty of seeting. The latte and the pastries were really good. Also as a side bonus the various local art you can buy is really nice.

Good coffee, bagels, and cinnamon rolls. My friend said best everything bagel she's had. They are open Monday mornings when a lot of places aren't. Good if it's not busy as the food options may dwindle, and only 1 server.

Went this morning with high hopes for good coffee considering it's a coffee a tea establishment. When I came up to order I ordered the simplest thing on the menu a drip coffee. I figured I'd try the Sulawesi coffee and the drip was out. No big deal. I then poured out the small amount it had left and tried to pour one of the other two options and it was out too. So I waited til he brewed a batch to get a plain black coffee. The coffee was just ok nothing to write home about and the shop seemed unprepared to accommodate customers. Won't be going back. If the worker had been more prepared maybe the experience would have been better. Keeping drip coffee stocked and ready isn't an unreasonable expectation for a coffee shop.

Disappointed regarding service. My husband and I walked in at 4:51 PM. As we approached the counter a gentleman in a grey long sleeve with brown shaggy hair said they would be closing soon and he had a ton of drinks to make so we’d be waiting well passed five. We told the gentleman that was okay as we saw he was busy. The gentleman sighed heavily and said uh ok. It made my husband and I not feel welcomed or wanting to be served by this guy. We decided to leave as we felt he didn’t want to serve us and was hoping we’d leave by saying we’d be waiting after five. If I was a manager I would be disappointed in the worker not welcoming customers, even if it is 9 minutes before closing. We read the reviews and were excited to try. I wish we had a different experience.

Our favorite coffee shop in Banner Elk/Sugar Mountain. 1. The most fundamental drinks are always done well. If you get that right, you can make any froo-froo drink well. I especially enjoy their iced Vanilla Latte. 2. They have one of the best atmospheres for families. They have games, books, and newspapers for your pleasure, and they also have great artwork. 3. Their desserts are delicious. 4. They have kid-friendly drinks (juiceboxes and menu items) and snacks. 5. The staff is kind and friendly.
