Top of the Morning Cafe

I’d like to give them 5 stars- the place is cute, portions generous and prices reasonable. Staff appeared friendly. I was here on a Monday at 1 pm for breakfast- they close at 2pm. I expected to be in and out in 30min. It was 15 min before order taken - I actually walked up to the counter- apologetic. When the food was delivered, no utensils- lol ...was breaking the omelet with my toast to eat it- finally got the attention of the other waitress and she quickly and nicely brought a fork, knife, & napkin. Top of the Morn obviously needs to hire another helper. I worked in the restaurant business for years so am sympathetic, but it’s your business so one needs to take it seriously. Everyone around me waited forever to order & get their food. My rec: Hire a counter person to take those orders, cash customers out, refill coffees, help with drinks.... I worked in a restaurant that was much busier and customers would have walked if they waited as long as the other customers and me on the day I ate there. As far as the food- very tasty. Thanks!!

This was my second visit to this cute little local place. My veggie egg white omelet was huge and delicious and the hash browns, perfection. Its location minutes from I-90 make it a great breakfast stop when traveling across upstate NY.

Great little diner in Utica. The omelettes were incredible and very large. You will not leave this place hungry. Not fancy but certainly worth the visit if you are looking for an economical breakfast that will fill you up! Server was very friendly. The restaurant was packed when we arrived and stayed that way while we were there. Speaks volumes to the quality of their food.

Great little Mom and Pop diner/restaurant. Serves breakfast and lunch, service Is friendly and fast ( this no chain restaurant) Food is delicious prices reasonable. If you leave hungry you have no one to blame but yourself. I am not a picky eater but I do want good quality this is great food at great prices And it's just a nice little place to go to in North Utica. My mother always said if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. So I won't bad mouth a place or leave a bad review if I'm not happy with some place. I'm not in the habit of posting things on Facebook or anywhere else but if I think the place is great and the quality is good I will rave about it to everybody. I have to like it and I have to believe in it. I like the food here I liked the atmosphere if I've left a review, it means it's a good place to go.

Great little spot can’t believe I’ve passed here all the time and never stopped . Prices are really great and portions are fantastic. Good food in a nice little spot here. Definitely great for breakfast will have to try for lunch sometime. Good folks nice staff

Good Spot to have breakfast any day of the week. Was there with a pal while we were trying to wake up for the day. Had some good food and the employees were really nice. Was a good day overall and I would suggest anyone in the area to go check them out.

Excellent, friendly service and a killer (huge!) frittata. Oh, and the prices are super reasonable!

AMAZING staff, delicious food!!!

Came for breakfast before dropping my freshman off at Utica. We had a waffle, hashbrowns, bacon, sausage, french toast, eggs benedict, and eggs easy over between all of us. All were excellent.
Staff is short like all restaurants these days.
