Inquiring Mind Bookstore & Cafe

This place is great. The staff was lovely, and it was absolutely packed with books, and CDs too! The cafe in the back is cute too, a little expensive but a very good touch.

I ordered a notebook from them through Amazon, and it came way sooner than expected! I was so happy to get my penguin notebook and a little note from Jack too!

Excellent selection of new and used books. You can get many of the same books on Amazon for less, some for a quarter of the price. Maybe they should have something like "Amazon price match plus 15%", I would certainly pay a premium to sustain this institution.

This is my grown-up version of Flourish and Blotts from Harry Potter. I love the cozy feel, the huge selection, the big tables where I can set-up and plug in my gear. Such an awesome place. If I could get paid to stay there all day, I would.

Friendly Staff , great small town feel with a great music selection on top of their large in depth selection of Books .
Great place to have a cup of coffee, find a book to read , listen to some hard to find music selections and meet some great people.

Ordered "The Best Poems of the English Language" by Harold Bloom. Received book in less than a week and it was in perfect condition. Great job. Will choose books from your collection in the future.

When Barnes & Noble opened and Borders Books was poised to open in Kingston, my thoughts went immediately to the concern that our local, independent bookstores would be affected, possibly starved out. But now , over a decade later Inquiring Minds is thriving, providing a rich and original selection of intelligent reading materials & music. And now responsibly, speaking "its" mind in the manner of all valuable discourse; a place of free speech that should inspire our community to talk about our differences and look at the real issues at stake in this political and social climate climate. My family and close friends as well as myself used to bring this place alot of business, after now driving past and seeing a swastika symbol with their political views plastered everywhere, we will no longer be contributing to their store, no matter who you're voting for this is very obscene and very tacky, whether it's taking down or not, you guys ruined a good amount of your business. Near again will I speak highly of this store

The cafe is pricey and lacks variety (except flavors of caffeinated beverage), but the bookstore itself is good. The staff is hit-or-miss, with some great people behind the counter sometimes and some not-so-great people other times.
