Cute book store in the heart of Saugerties, complete with old and new reads. They serve coffee and snacks as well. Definitely get the antique feels with the post-modern touches, so if you plan on visiting, make yourself comfortable, grab a cup of Joe, grab a good book, grab a seat, and get cozy. Or you can challenge someone to a game of chess, complete with pieces, or bring your own. It's definitely an experience for both book lovers and those looking for a moment of peace. Kudos to the staff for maintaining the appearance and providing assistance at the drop of a hat.

I love bookstores! Inquiring Mind is a great example of what I like. Lots of room. Lots of seating. Solid tables. A great selection of books. Fresh coffee. great pastries. Friendly staff that makes you instantly feel at home. Clean cafe area and clean throughout the store. Food and drinks were very reasonably priced. A perfect place to take a break from your adventure.

great choice of books and even music records. they have a cute sitting area just for young children decorated with stuffed animals here and there. plus I should add that they make a point to display very progressive books and novels pertaining to gender, politics, equality and race. awesome definitely recommend to visit if your passing by

Plan to spend a long time here browsing all the unique and interesting books! Lovely spot right at the corner. Has a community feeling, especially on nights when they are hosting events or readings. Nice and wide selection of books.

Wonderful book and cafe experience. Love the staff, ambiance and of course, the book selection. Staff are courteous to a fault. One of my go-to places to sit and read, relax.

Really awesome small town bookstore with good coffee and cozy couches. Really embarrassing LGBTQ+ section though—literally 3/4 of one shelf. Fix that and I’ll be back!

A bookstore from "the old days" that no longer exists. But here it is; home made. Open the door and it smells of books. Of every imaginable variety; something for everyone, including children, records and CDs. In a quiet, comfortable (tables and chairs, sofas), subdued light (but not dark) atmosphere, a WC. Many folks reading, some on the free wifi, some with coffee/tea and excellent snacks (for sale at modest prices). Local events on some evenings. And you can buy any of it (not the furniture) and take it home.

Comfortable seating, wide sample of used and new books. We ordered large oj base banana mango strawberry smoothie and decaf fat free cappuccino. Both drinks were tasty but the paper straws don't hold up in the OJ smoothie.

A wonderfully friendly staff and atmosphere, always a pleasure to visit and walk around in this store. A fine selection of titles and staff recommendations are on point, love this place! The lattes are great too. A must if you visit Saugerties.

We loved the children's book area but were also delighted by the cafe's London Fog, several rare-find art books, and the plush hand puppets!
