We didn't get to go the coffee shop because it closes at 2pm every day. But there was a grill restaurant type outdoors with outdoor tables. Food was delicious but pricey, restaurant prices

I would go back just for the mushroom and swiss sandwich. And then I would go back again. And then order it several more times after that. MAYBE I'd try something else on the menu at that point. I doubt it though.
The moral of the story is that it's a delicious sandwich. The end.

This is a majestic looking, beautifully restored restaurant in Ghent. The attention to detail stems from the choice of tiles to the packaging on their jams. They also have unusual items like beet and blackberry muffins. When we got there at the end of the day the bakery was nearly sold out. I'm looking forward to going back again in the morning. The gardens and the light are beautiful. You can sit inside or outside and there's delight for your eyes in both places!

Delicious bread and sandwiches. The sweets are disappointing (we tried blueberry muffins and cookies) - for me personally an unbalanced taste

My wife and I stopped in to the Bartlett house on a Sunday afternoon with in tensions to pick up a box of pastries to impress guests visiting us for a few days. We were greeted by hostess and we told her we wanted to pick up pastries at the counter. We glanced at the baked goods for a few minutes and we're completely invisible to the two people behind the counter. My wife and I waited for quite a while without being spoken to. We decided to move away from the pastry counter and more towards the register to see if we would then be acknowledge... No such luck. We were completely transparent! Nobody would even look at us. we decided to take the drive into Hudson. Well worth it. We stumbled across patisserie Lenox Hudson. Well worth it!!! Amazing selection of baked goods and staff was very friendly. Very happy with all the delicious pastries we picked up.
We have been to the Bartlett house for lunch twice before when it first opened and we're impressed but that has changed for us. Wouldn't go back.

The ambience, the staff and the food were great. I take one star because the service was very slow. We went with two young kids and the dinning took more than 2 hours. Maybe good place to go with friends because you can talk. But hard to wait for drinks and food when you have kids is hard.

Bartlett House is the perfect spot for a dreamy rural breakfast, lunch or dinner. Great baked goods, made all in-house. Two of my irresistible items here are: the twice-baked pistachio croissant and the cornmeal cherry scone, eaten on the veranda overlooking the manicured country garden.

Really great Baker. Had my best sourdough in NY. Highly recommend their bread basket which is only 7 dollar but came with a great variety of bread and 3 different house made jam!! And the building is very beautiful too!

They have an amazing brunch!
Go early because they are full the week-end!
