I am local and my family and extended family has eaten often at the Bartlett House since it opened. We haven't eaten out much during the pandemic and decided to return to the BH for a special occasion after two years of dearly missing it. What a disappointment! The food was ok and the experience was ruined by the fact that our food had to come in disposable containers with disposable utensils... how horrifying. I even asked for real plates and utensils but the woman at the counter said they got rid of every plate (we actually found utensils stored in the cupboard but she obviously didn't want to bother). In the core values section of the BH website we read: "We provide luxurious spaces and unparalleled comfort at a cost to us and not the environment." How hypocrite! it seemed to me that the cost falls on the environment and on the customer since their fast-food-style fare is still priced as luxurious and delicious, like it used to be.

Very upscale, chic breakfast cafe. The food is phenomenal and HOMEMADE treats are tastefully displayed. One of the owners were there to great us, young child on her hip to give a warm country welcome to this urban feeling experience. When you walk up to the building you can watch gourmet chef cooking in basement level kitchen. An extraordinary way to enter this cafe. There are several steps and did not see a wheel chair accessible entrance. $$$ but worth it. A great place to meet.

Wife and I are 1.5 hours away but will absolutely spend a morning driving out just to have some astonishingly PERFECT food and coffee. Can’t overstate how good the experience is.

I would give it 5 starts if it weren't for the food being served in to-go containers even if you're eating there. I understand food being served that way for safety at the height of the pandemic, but it seems that most restaurants have made this a permanent move. It's so unpleasant and ruins the eating out experience, not to mention how terribly wasteful it is.

What a surprise! We were visiting the area to see our horse who is at a training center in Ghent. Out of no where we found The Bartlett House. The pastries are to die for. Wait until you see the size of the croissants. They make various other food dishes which you should try. Friendly staff and a quaint dining facility with books to read, as you eat.
Clean and inviting. Not open to dining in but they have blankets if you want to eat on the porch. A must visit.

I have been thinking about making a statement since our thanksgiving dinner and decided to put it out there! We joined my daughter and family in valatie for dinner on thanksgiving. We live in Hudson. All familiar w the Bartlett house. She had preordered pastries and bread for the event and picked up Wednesday. Soooo disappointed! She doesn’t have the time or energy to follow up but I do. Monkey bread looked pretty but was dry and blah. Boston cream donuts were inedible- cream was sour. For a local upper class bakery to market products like this is a disservice! This does not entice us to come again nor to invite others to go. We also are aware that the maker on warren markets the same type bakery items. Shame.

Delish outdoor grill - pasties and home sodas inside were great. Awesome fries too. Great spot to spread out with kiddos

I'm in love with their delicious and fresh baguettes! Only they tend to sell out of them on weekends by 10 am! However, I think this place both smells and tastes delicious ( of the items I've tried at least) . I will also say that their coffee is good, and I appreciate their in house homemade almond milk. Enjoy!

Very cool restaurant in a beautiful historic building. All tables and chairs are really beautiful too and the food is just as great as the setting. With local ingredients and masterful execution, this place makes an excellent brunch. Especially the hot skillets, those were absolutely fantastic and I would highly recommend any or all of them.
