The food was poor in taste. However, the "locals" all seemed to enjoy it. A bit bizarre is the fact that "you clear your own tables after eating." That is after paying some extravagant prices. They have an 'elevator' for the disabled, but no directions how to operate it. We were very disappointed here and won't go back there.

One of the nicest places to dine around hudson ny. Lovely surroundings, food is most interesting. Even a ham and cheese sandwich takes on a life of its own. Although this season dinning is pick up or eat at a picnic bench, it's still great. No matter if I'm coming or going I always stop off here. Worth going out of your way to dine here. Highly recamended!
PS...great French fries!

Best baked goods for miles and a great place for brunch/ lunch. Arrive early or after 2pm to avoid looooong wait if you want to sit down! For the best selection of takeout baked goods, arrive before 10am. Fantastic selection of loose teas by the ounce and incredible sourdough bread. Personal favorites are their famous double baked pistachio croissants and rarely found in the US Swedish Cardamom Buns, pretty close to what you will find in Stockholm.

I wish this cafe was closer to home. There is a full kitchen on premise, and everything is made from scratch. Absolutely wonderful.

I try to not write negative reviews, but I felt the need here with the price being so high.
The Fried Chicken Sandwich, which was recommended, was Texas toast, an overcooked chicken thigh half the size of the bread with a few pickles and a quarter sized smear of sauce.
Hardly worth $18. And then $7 for French fries that were Herb and garlic seasoned. They were lightly salted at best.
If you're going for the pastries and coffee, you're fine. But for a meal? I'd travel a little farther towards Hudson.

Used to be my favorite place for breakfast. Hot food and service has gone downhill. It breaks my heart, but bread and baked good are still good. However, most of my favorites like the pistachio croissant are no longer there. I felt awful when I brought my guests from out of town, who paid 16 dollars for a subpar breakfast sandwich. We couldn’t even finish them, they were so terrible. We order two farmer breakfast and one lox with egg. The English muffin wasn’t very good and the sandwich was dry. 😢 please improve and go back to full service!!! I miss you guys and edited my 5 star review from 2 years ago to a 1 star. This is my second bad experience in the past two months.

Such a cute quaint space with delicious food. Love their pastries, eggs, and oatmeal. Come for the food and stay for the ambiance.

This is my go to for breads, and delicacies. Everything is made fresh. They make a pistachio croissant to die for!
Best time is at 8am or they sell out sometimes before 9:30. They also make English muffins the old-fashioned way. Only available on the weekends. Milkshakes are made with local Ice cream! Janes! I have eaten in as well and on their porch. Excellent attentive staff! Guaranteed to be a just like stepping back in time!

Everything they create is delicious. Their chocolate babka, croissants and scones make my mouth water!
