Cozy, comfotable coffee house on the main drag in town. Excellent selection and hard-working staff. A great place to kick back and relax with your favorite cup of joe. Although the college students take over many seats, as they often do elsewhere....

Horribly pulled espresso. The machine could use a good clean. The “Barista” knew nothing about the beans that they use for the espresso. Rather horrible cappuccino.

This is the best coffee shop and even better than star bucks. I always come here for hot chocolate but no matter what Slave To The Grind deserves respect every thing is delicious. I recommend this coffee shop to every one.

I don't write reviews after a single visit anywhere. I've gone to Slave to the Grind several times, and this place is the epitome of "hit or miss", depending on the barista. The last time I was there the I ordered an Iced Soy Latte and it was a disaster. I probably would have been better off going to Starbucks, which pains me to say.

I'm not familiar with any of the other coffee houses in lower westchester, but Slave to the Grind is a distant third when compared to quality roasters like Coffee Labs (Tarrytown) and Black Cow (Pleasantville).

By far some of the best coffee around. They also have a gigantic range of flavors, completely unique and equally delicious. Without question, this is my go to coffee shop!

The best coffee in Bronxville....period....you don't have to have your little finger at right angles when you walk in like you do at starbucks

I want to give it a better rating but just can't with the wait it takes to get your coffee. Nice people just a super long wait.

Great place to buy coffee and pastries. Great staff too. Definitely recommend.

SttG is about as homey and cozy as a Westchester County coffee shop can afford to be. You'll see Sarah Lawrence students engrossed in coursework, the regular smoking crowd at night, and a semi-rotating staff of generally wonderful baristas. Don't count on finding a table (such is the price of coziness) but about six exist between the front and back ends of the main counter with about eight seats along the walls accompanied by long, bar-style countertops. Definitely adequate room to place a laptop, open a book, and place a VERY well-made coffee-bean brew. Free and fast Wi-Fi, outlets for electronics, and a wide variety of coffee flavors and treats.

The only improvement, if even possible, would be the addition of a second room for seating. A second-story "study" of Holmesian design would be a dream. Bookshelves and all. But I ask too much.

The owner is a huge supporter of those in recoverry programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous, and gives hefty discounts to those who served in uniform, including RN's, EMT's, Police, and Firefighters!

Not only a staple of Bronxville culture, Slave to the Grind is a truly unique exemplar of what it means to be a community business; it seeks not only to serve its clientele, but endeavors to heal and empower its neighbors, too.

P.S. The smokers out front are non-hostile, feel free to greet these wonderful people- if not start a conversation!
