What an amazing place. Very relaxed counter service place.
Came for breakfast and had some terrific coffee and a great breakfast quesadilla. That quesadilla was packed. The breakfast potatoes were pretty good. The gravlox was out of this world. Blueberry muffin is not too sweet and an delightful texture.
The atmosphere is really relaxed. There is plenty of space inside and though nothing remarkable, it is a nice place. The art on the wall was really nice.

Amazing and eclectic menu. The frittata is incredible and inventive. It was nearly full at midday on Saturday.

One thing that should be noted about counterculture is they are accepting credit cards. Contrary to some other reviews the staff doesn't make any sort of insistence for cash they simply ask how you'd like to pay and if you are paying bad credit card the machine is right there.

Counterculture is nearly full all the time. Once you place your order at the counter your food is out very quickly.

Our last visit there I had the Durango omelette which was enormous far too big for me to finish. We also had a cranberry scone which was one of the best I've ever had.

I've eaten here several times, and the food has always been excellent. We often end up sitting outside because it's full inside.

I'm updating my review by bumping this place up to five stars. Though the meatball sandwich I had last month was only so-so, the French toast I enjoyed on my most recent stop was simply sublime.
French Toast is a hit or miss with me; people either know to make it right as to be delicious, or to it wrong so that it just ends up being empty carbs and calories.
Counter Culture certainly fits into the category of the former. Served in three separate slices, each piece of French Toast makes the excessive sugar intake worth it. The bread is thick and fluffy, the powdered sugar is sufficient, and the syrup makes things all the better.
Let me not forget, that the added splash of cinnamon provides this French toast with its own unique favor: most comparable with a cinnamon roll.
Portion size is generous too, though delicious, I ended up having to take the third piece home to enjoy later.

I went there for lunch, and it was super busy. The food was great. However, the service felt a bit rushed. I didn't know I had to get my own water. It would have been nice if the staff explained this to customers. This was my first time there.

Good foods and nice place!
Nice interior and out side patio...
We tried Asia plate, Tuna fish Tacos, Chocolate cake and Organic coffee.
Taste is good but Chocolate cake was to sweet for me.

Good food TERRIBLE SERVICE. My food took an hour to come out after my entire table got it 30min before me. The girl at the counter gave me the worst attitude and when I finally got my food there was no apology and only a mean glance for inconveniencing her. NEVER COMING BACK HERE.

The clam chowder was so good. The cashiers weren't very friendly but the gentlemen bringing the food out was really nice.

They have a vegan breakfast burrito that they can also make with corn tortillas so it’s gluten free. Nice atmosphere, and the food came quickly and was delicious!

Coffee tasted a little burnt, I don’t typically go for the dark roast flavors, and they were all dark roast, but happy with the free refills!

CASH ONLY!! It’s always fresh. Been coming here for over 5 years. We always get the middle eastern salad, and some of their super large cinnamon rolls, but they only sell those on certain days.
