The burgers tasted good, but had only one measly wet piece of iceberg lettuce & American processed cheese-food product, onion & pink tomato. The patty melt was OK, but had the same pseudo cheese. Shasta pop. They were out of quite a few things; pulled pork, corn tortillas, Coke, potato salad.
Can't tell you about the pies as they had none. OUT OF PIE. What a supreme disappointment.
When we were told they were out of pie, we were referred down the street. We asked if they were serving lunch as well and were informed "No".
Thst was a big, fat lie.
Stopped down at the next place, Gathering Place Pies. Not only did they have MANY PIES, they were serving lunch.
Thank you to the new owner of Pie Town Cafe. It's good to hear that someone has taken over this business. Good luck to you!

So excited for pie. The food was gross. Except the fries. My burger came out without bun. Waited 10 minutes for bun. Had chile on burger and it was still bland and flavorless. Place was busy with wildland firefighters. Pie was soso. Bought a half of New Mexico Apple pie. It was good. The half a blueberry we bought went in trash. The pie was super dry...looked old. Daughters chicken strips were greasy and tasted like grease, not like chicken.

We took a 3 hour trip just to go to Pie Town just for pie and coffee! And it was truly worth it! The pies are not overly sweet, just perfect!
Friendly service, homey atmosphere, loved it!

We tried four different pies and they were all incredible! My favorite was the pecan/piñon. They also have a pecan/piñon/coffee pie which sounds even better but they were out of it when we were there. We also ate breakfast here and the food was very, very tasty. The pecan/piñon pie alone is worth a trip to Pie Town.

Lovely little cafe with some nice pie. I had the New Mexico Apple which, of course, had green chili peppers in it. It was much better than expected, the flavor was nice and subtlety spicy with that classic apple pie flavor.

Walked in was ignored by 4 people walking around in the back. Saw us, still ignored us. 15 to 20 minutes along with another group of four walked out...
