Taos Cow

We had their BLT & it was delicious.

I'd travel 780 miles again to have the super yummy breakfast I had here. Perfect size portion when you gotta eat early and won't have time for lunch. B-fast filled me all day. Thank you! Loved the vibe and convenience. Thank you for being open early and having a very good work ethic catering to the customer.

Delicious ice cream. Kind of pricey Always crowded. Nice to sit by the little river out back and eat ice cream. I wish the people serving food would tie their hair back.

They are known for the most fabulous ice cream ever. The pinon caramel is my favorite but it is hard to choose. I love their sandwiches. My favorite is the Grilled Portabello sandwich. The coffee is great. Their Thai slaw if fantastic. The service is excellent.

The best part about this place? The ice cream tastes so fresh that you would think you're on a dairy farm in the Midwest. Great flavors packed into each scoop and the interior of the creamery has a lot to see. My personal favorite - the Mexican Chocolate!

Best ice cream ever! Don't expect bright colors for different flavors, this is all natural, but great flavors, high quality ingredients, and generous helpings. Make sure to try the cinnamon ice cream if they have it!

We visit Taos, NM one week every year for snow skiing and we talk about the Taos Cow ice cream the other 51. Great handmade ice cream that will ruin all others. The Mexican Chocolate is by far the best ice cream I've had in my 50+ years. And that's a lot of ice cream.

However, when I bring my family of 8 into this place and spend $60 on ice cream I really don't enjoy two things I find here. Bad attitudes and poorly mixed ice cream. A simple thank you would go a long way. But the last visit we seem to be bothering the staff as we ordered and paid. Very annoying.

When they don't have Mexican Chocolate I always revert back to my other favorite, Chocolate Chip. But what I get is basically vanilla because they don't seem to know how to mix chocolate chip so that its evenly distributed. Most ice cream makers know the tricks to this so that you don't get vanilla in one serving and solid chocolate in the next.

So they loose two stars on attitude and mixing.

The Mexican Chocolate is still the best. Wait for it!

The ice cream really wasn't very good... icy rather than creamy. But the excursion was nice (it's a way outside of taos) and the setting lovely.

Now that my mother in law has a home here in the area we get to visit this awesome place much more often. There food selection is great and I have never been disappointed on anything I ordered. Oh and the ice cream that’s what brings you in... its the best.

Ice cream was absolutely delicious and went great with coffee! My favorite is the cinnamon ice cream—so good. Friendly staff, quirky atmosphere. I can definitely see why it's a tried and true local favorite.
