Rook Coffee

Rook is one of the best local coffee shops Monmouth has to offer. Baristas are so friendly and hardworking. Love the rotation of seasonal flavors as there is always something new to look forward to. Good bakery selection as well. Definitely recommend this place as well as their mocha cold brew.

Rook is a great coffee shop. As I have moved around Monmouth County, I have been fortunate to have a Rook nearby. If there is anything I notice, it's that all Rook locations maintain the same consistency.

The quality of their coffee is the excellent at any location, their staff takes the time to remember the names of the regulars that frequent the shop, and the time it takes to receive your order, is quicker than most big chains.

I would highly recommend supporting this local business.

I used to love wall. Idk what's happening but every time I go recently my order is messed up every time. I'm mildly allergic to almonds and would love to stop breaking out in hives when I am under the impression I ordered oat milk

When this place is busy I don’t mind waiting as I love the coffee, however I was in today, I was the only customer waiting for coffee- the baristas were talking to friends and writing names on plastic cups for a good 10 min. What I don’t understand is why no one was making the order for the person standing there! Felt unwelcome, invisible and annoyed that I was last priority- she hugged her friends good bye before even attempting to make my coffee. Just bad vibes. I get it friends come to visit but as someone who worked in the food and bev industry their whole lives- the customer comes first. Def disappointed!

I have been ordering the New Orleans cream and sugar for 5 years. Lately it is mostly cream, no coffee taste. Inconsistent about best!!! When I asked if it could be corrected, I was told next time just asked for an extra shot of coffee. Time to move on......

Very good cold brew coffee, big portions and reasonably priced. I always try to stop here when I’m in the area. As someone who is lactose intolerant, I really like that Rook doesn’t charge extra for alternative milks it’s really appreciated. Could use a bit more variety in flavors however.

Heard it was a local treat..really enjoyed it. My daughter and I both got the mocha 5---she got hers without added sugar and I got mine with. We are going back tomorrow to get some in the morning and buy bottles of cold brew to take home for family. Really impressive.

I've only been here twice but both times the coffee has been good. I also had a muffin which was also tasty. The staff here was friendly and pretty fast and efficient. Definitely recommend to add to your rotation of coffee places to go.

Great coffee expericence. I got the iced one medium roast that was good with coconut milk. Also, I bought the Ethopian beans, haven't tried that yet.

Updated review: excellent, friendly service that I've come to associate with all Rook locations. Oh, and the coffee is pretty amazing, too!

Old Review from 2019: I love rook. Rook is literally what got me into coffee, now I can't go a day without their coffee. I've been to most of their coffee shops and they are always the highest quality.

Unfortunately this location in particular consistently suffers from a problem with lines and long wait times. They have a ton of staff on hand but this location is extremely popular and has a ton of volume.

If you don't text your order in you can frequently expect to wait at least 15-20 minutes, especially during the morning coffee rush or in the summertime.
