Are you kidding me?! I've been doing Dunkin Donuts across the street for over a year now until I finally made it today to try them out. Umm.. let's just say I converted to The Grind Coffee today. No comparison in quality. I guess you get what you pay for. Very intimate/comfortable seating environment too. I only wish there were more tempting snack options.

I used to go out of the way for this coffee but probably after today I may change my mind . Let’s start with the fact this is not a Starbucks and people who are hired to work there should get a special training on how to make a coffee and also should have a good idea how real coffee should taste not the way Starbucks makes.
If I order coffee and be in the cafe, I don’t want to get a plastic cup that’s rule number 1, unless I myself will ask for.
I shouldn’t be asked what flavor of cappuccino coffee I want because real and pure cappuccino does NOT have flavors that’s again a Starbucks schooling. When I order one shot of coffee it should be served in small cup and the proportions of coffee and milk should be done with the common sense which obviously they have none .
I got my cold coffee in a big cup with nothing but milk and I only have one question where was the coffee ???
Old crew wasn’t there that day and I wonder if the newbies are there to stay or just temporarily covering someone while distorting the reputation of the coffee place .
The location to serve Illys coffee brand is already not a perfect match because the clientiere living around probably never tasted a real 100% Arabic coffee, but since you already decided on opening the place there, don’t try to fit to satisfy low grade customers. And if you going to charge more than cancer causing Starbucks coffee beans, please make sure whoever is working have more than a basic knowledge how to serve pure and original coffee . Do NOT shame illys brand !

Peaceful rejuvenating decor. Delicious Italian coffee Very fresh French pastries especially Almond croissant is heavenly .. just the right mix of crisp, light on sugar and butter with grainy almond paste in the center. High energy courteous staff.

Very nice people and nice coffee. Few options for food, though. And after several times I stopped going because their menu never shows you prices, and you don't get any receipt after your transaction. So you'll never know if they overcharge you.

The actual name is Eclair Cafe but they haven't updated yet. Good coffee shop and place to read, lounge, etc. Baked goods are made fresh daily and are usually done by the mid afternoon. They aren't open on Sundays.

I've been going here almost daily for the past 4 years, and now I'm pretty much finished with this place. Although the coffee is decent and the store is nice enough, several of the employees are not trained well in proper food service practices. Last week, one particular employee at the register wiped his nose with his bare hand, and then used the same hand to pass me a cup and a lid. Today, this same employee, who looked like he was either sick or had about 3 hours of sleep and was rather disheveled, was scratching his hand through his hair, and undoubtedly planning to use that same hand to serve customers. I walked out. I've long noticed that the cashiers here have a habit of touching the insides and "business surfaces" of the cups and lids, but I didn't think much of it because I gave them the benefit of the doubt on hand cleanliness. But now that I saw this repeat display by this new employee (and considering that they are also handling money), I doubt I'll be back unless I'm desperate for a coffee. Even then I'll be sure to grab the cup myself.

Changed ownership and with that, style. Much less focused on coffee now (they went from selling many single sourced beans to just Illy). Now specializing in baked goods(which are very good). Much more like a French cafe in than regard, but not what I'd expect from a coffee house here.

Update April 16: Since they changed owners, The Grind has become much better but also more expensive (reg. americano now $3.45, $0.5 increase) Starbucks by comparison is only $2.95 for same drink. The new staff seems more motivated and faster.

Menu items are overpriced and the method in which they use to deliver customers their food is in dire need of modification. The customer's name is asked for at the time of the order and then when their food is ready, an employee walks around calling out that person's name or just the order.
I waited 45 minutes for an overpriced panini only to find out that it had been given away. Not once was I approached by an employee, nor did I hear my name. When I received my food, which I needed to-go at that point, it wasn't even what I ordered!!! They gave me a "free coffee" card for my next visit. I will not be returning.

so overpriced. i ordered a double cappuccino at $4.50 and when i picked it up it felt light so i opened the lid and saw that it was only half filled?? I looked over at the counter at the barista who made it and she was pointing and whispering with the other girl behind the counter next to her. weird place. probably will avoid in future.
