Hershey lovers and people looking for a cheap chocolate fix look elsewhere. You won't find any better chocolate anywhere in New England. It's extremely rich, ethically sourced but it appropriately priced. As a point of reference, their famous chocolate mice (about the size of a golf ball) cost $3.50. Still the quality is well worth the price especially if you are giving it as a gift (Harry & David's ain't got nothing on this). Don't forget to get something for yourself though.

Unexpectedly sophisticated chocolatier and Cafe in a tiny NH town. Great to visit after the brunch at the Burdick restaurant next door. Chocolates are expensive and worth it. Pastry looked beautiful but I did not sample.

Wonderful artisan chocolates, desserts and coffee. Next time I will try the drinking chocolate! Great atmosphere and customer service too! Highly recommend.

Beautiful. Perfect. Hand-sourced and handmade. Whimsical chocolate mice (bunnies, bats, snowmen and bees depending on the season) and other delightful treats. In '07 or '08 Presidential candidate Barack Obama made this a campaign stop to see the chocolate being made on-site. Best croissants outside of Paris.

I have worked for Burdick's for 3 years. We work really hard to make sure the product turns out looking appetizing and elegant. When we say handmade, we mean it. All the caramel cut by hand, all of the ganache made from scratch, and we continue to use local products to make sure ingredients are fresh. We work hard to buy sustainably sourced chocolate. We are a growing business with a small town attitude.

My favorite restaurant in existence! A very intimate atmosphere in a gorgeous small NH town. The drinks here are incredible. I had the best Cabernet Sauvignon that was as smooth as butter. My go-to is the steak frites because who can resist rare steak topped with herb butter served along side some gorgeous shoestring fries? The charcuterie plate is incredible as are their salads. And the chocolates. Oh the chocolates.... amazing. The hot cocoa is the best you'll ever have. It's rated one of the top hot cocoa's in the entire world! Bam!

Matthew preforms inappropriate acts towards younger employees, and steals tips.
Multiple health code violations in the kitchen.
Mary is very rude and disrespectful to customers as well as employees, and targets a single employee when ever they work together.
Mariah and Jennifer are micromanaging, stress giving, and rude people. They have caused an employee to quite with in there first week.
and this is at the walpole nh location

Hot Milk chocolate Mocha was dreamy with a slice of chocolate cover orange hazelnut cake...perfect end to a crazy day Topped only by the Amazing Barista who made it Phoenix!

For this area, it might be one of the best, but relative to most metropolitan areas, it is a pretty generic pompous fusion eatery. We tried 4 different dishes from lamb to fish to vegetarian. Nothing special in terms of freshness nor taste. However, it is unlikely one will not have a poor experience.
