Water Street Cafe

We stopped in for dinner and enjoyed the atmosphere, the food and the friendly service. My father in law was eager to go for the prime rib and it did not disappoint. Awesome is the only word he had for it! The all you can eat Fried Haddock was another stand out. My husband had the lamb which was done to perfection. This is by far one of the BEST restaurants in the Lakes region.

So many choices and all of good quality ! Their specials are unique and fresh.

The service was very good, our waiter was pleasant and fast. My food, not so much. The coleslaw was browned and tasted awful, I suspect it was rotten. The fries were good and the haddock tasted good but the texture was not right. I am worried because my stomach does not feel good now. Ending on a more pleasant note my appetizer, buffalo chicken, was very good.

Was in town visiting wanted a hearty breakfast at a clean establishment. Got the prime rib and eggs special, very good, could use a little more seasoning but still excellent for the price. Every table was full with multiple people, could boost the waiting staff or get more efficient. Would recommend and go back.

Great spot for a tasty meal. Our party of six each had something different for brunch.... everything was delicious. The place was hopping and the staff was efficient and friendly.

Good food and atmosphere. Wonderful staff that is quick and attentive. Awesome choice of benedicts and very generous portions.

Their Smashed Browns with two eggs on top is from Heaven! All the restaurants in the Lakes Region are suffering from staff shortages this season but these folks put their heads down and get the job done with smiles on their faces... tip them well - they are working hard! It may take a bit longer than usual but is SO worth the wait!

Told to see yourself, someone brought menus, waited, waited, waited, no water no coffee, finally left. The person that brought the menu said on the way out someone else was supposed to take your table. No apology, no please come sit down we'll take your order.

I'm usually very forgiving a slow service, but root service gets one star.

moldy fruit, dry and burnt pancakes, burnt toast, overcooked eggs, pen covered in syrup, long wait and bugs everywhere.

Food was so good, and it waitress was wonderful. We'll certainly be back!
