Water Street Cafe

Though rated highly, we were warned upon arrival food would take up to 45min to hour to be received and no lunch menus items. So we ordered the fastest thing instead of what we wanted: just eggs and toast. Our drinks came but no cream for coffee though asked for twice. Finally got it from another table on our own. It took 43min to receive the food ordered. And, to boot, I am currently sitting in a bathroom sick from it. My table mate has been sick since moments after leaving. Both of us were fine before coming in. We will not be back here again.

Out of pocket breakfast and lunch options with a full bar - worth a wait

Came up to Laconia for a day of events
Choose Water Street Cafe for breakfast for the family. Initial experience at the front door was pleasant. From there went down hill. Are server acted like we were an inconvenience for her. When she was ready take are order. She never asked what kind of bread we wanted or even what way we wanted our eggs cooked. We had to mention these things to her. On my refill of Sprite soda. It was just carbonated water. Not sure if that was completely the servers fault or what. The experience was on the down side. It's a cute place with alright food.

We come up to Weirs Beach every year. Have tried a few different breakfast spots over the years. Seems like most of them have gotten worse over the years.
Found this place and gave it a shot. Definitely a good breakfast spot! Menu has some nice original ideas and some not seen in a while.
I had the jon daly pulled pork omlette and my wife had the monte cristo breakfast sandwich, and my son had the childrens eggs and sausage breakfast. All of it tasted great! Will definitely come back here from now on.
Restaurant was nice and clean, plenty of seating and parking.
Service was friendly and quick.
They also serve breakfast cocktails if thats your jam.

Amazing. Food was well worth the wait during a busy time...and that wait was not bad all things considered. Breakfast arrived hot and delicious, and the service was fantastic. My wife is a big fan of their HUGE omelets and their Eggs Benedict selections are all great!

Decent place to eat and seems to be somewhat of the gathering place for locals. Fairly busy for a restaurant not on the main drag. Plus is that they have a full liquor license. Food is okay. Haven't been overly impressed with what I've gotten, though; poutine, and for breakfast, sweet potato hash browns , which sounded good but didn't equal my expectations as they were not done, nor were they "browned." But then, as I said it seems to be a fairly busy place when it is open, which is for breakfast and lunch most days and dinner on Friday nights

I have been here a couple of times. The food on the first night was just horrible. The waitress has no clue about the menu. The prime rib was the worst that I have ever had. It seems like it was cooked the day before and then refrigerated. The slice I received seems old and the fatty portion was cold. The prime rib is just like it was under heated out of the refrigerator. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and tried the place again. This time for breakfast. Nothing has changed! The food and service was again horrible. There are many good restaurants in the area and this is NOT one of them.

After a walk on the WOW Trail, reward yourself with lunch at the Water Street Cafe

Only reason this place is even getting a couple stars is because of our waitress. She was awesome and doing the best she could. We waited over an hour for our food (it was busy- no big deal) but the hostess was so rude we almost left. Would’ve left if we didn’t already order. They messed up our order which also happened to multiple customers around us as well. There are better places in the area, I wouldn’t bother coming back.
