Walden's Coffeehouse

This was probably a wonderful place at one time, but inattentive and disengaged staff made my experience less than desired. Many of the tables were covered with dirty dishes and the staff was uninviting. Two registers were attended to, but staff was busy with each other and when I finally asked if I could order it seemed I was an inconvenience. The young man who took my order was in some way impaired as he asked for my order three times and then wandered off as I payed. Food was decent, shame about the staff. Will likely not be back.

Waited over 40 minutes for one breakfast burrito, a family of seven walked in after me and received food before me. Got my drinks wrong. Seriously go to a different location and save yourself time.... had to complain twice to even get my food. I have had great service in the past here but don’t think I’ll be going back after this one.

I think this place has taken a little bit of a backseat in terms of popularity post midtown revival but it's truly an amazing coffee shop with a delicious menu. Everything I've ever ordered has been scrumptious and this place excels at creating an enticing and friendly culture to enjoy while you sip or snack. 10/10

Every experience at Walden's had been a good one. I've been going here for years and the food and drinks are always amazing. The only thing I don't like is that my clothes stink like grease the entire day after I leave the restaurant, they should look into better ventilation.

Use to love this place, but it's ok. I got the special of the day and the potatoes where flavorful, but my vanilla latte was ok. The chair tea is a better option if you like tea. Thus place is packed during the weekends at lunch, so plan in advance. I used to study here a lot, but it's more of a cafe now then a coffeeshop. They also don't stay open past a certain time. Staff is friendly and food comes out at a timely manner, but you feel rushed to get out. They have outdoor seating all year long, just keep bundled for the winter season or grab a nice cup of Joe. The parking lot is convenient. They have some in the front and more in the back. The meal portion size is pretty hefty, I had to take mine to go. So that maybe a plus. They have healthy choices as well if you are in the fit grind. Overall it's in a good location and easy to find. Food is decent and staff members are friendly!

So we go to Waldens on Mayberry from time to time (Because it’s so close to our house) and the service and everything is about a consistent 3.5 stars all the time. Long waits, high prices, and a staff that is always rushing around busy when they are open with normal operation (people to serve in the restaurant). I recently went there to try the “curb side” pick up and followed the instructions after placing my order online (because the phone was busy for 20 min). So I put a description of my vehicle in there and called when I arrived. The phone was busy. Then I called again after waiting for a few more min, again still busy. Gave up and went inside thinking somebody has to be on the phone. Again saw the normal rushing about of the staff, with them glancing over at me every now and again, finally somebody came over and asked if I needed something and I said i here to pick up a order and was given my order and then left. In short: don’t think because there are no customers and you ordered ahead that you service will be any faster than normal, curb side pick up is not a real thing, and lastly the food is still expensive. We will keep going there but only because of the location.

Cozy but busy place. Slightly confused on whether there was table service or not. Finally figured out that you order at the counter then you get a number. The food I had was good. The menu selection was interesting with a nice variety but not too much.
The portion sizes were plenty... I did not finish my burrito.
The house coffee was ok but not great so I knocked off a star.

My boyfriend and I LOVE Walden's we stumbled upon this place early this year and it has remained one of our favorites. Great food, awesome drinks, and an amazing environment!

You are doing yourself a huge favor by going here. Food is wonderful. Coffee is amazing. Service is great. Atmosphere is trendy. What more could you want? A drive through. But hey, no one is perfect but this is pretty dang close.

This place was very packed but even with that the service was very good and we were able to get our food quickly which was great for us because we were on a time constraint. The food was very good and it was very reasonably priced for what we got. It's also a great place to just sit and work by yourself or have a breakfast or lunch meeting for work purposes. We will definitely be going back when we are in Reno again!
