Old World Coffee Lab - Midtown

I stopped into Old World Coffee to work. It was the first time I'd been there and the baristas behind the counter were friendly, engaging, and quick.
The atmosphere in the shop reminded me of Portland, where I lived for almost five years before I moved to Nevada, and I enjoyed the taste of familiarity.
I had a hot chocolate with almond milk, and the new-to-coffee-art barista apologized for the fact that my coffee art didn't turn out the way he wanted it to, but I didn't mind. I happened to see his next attempt, and that turned out perfectly.
A few minutes after I sat down with my hot chocolate, I asked the baristas what music was playing, and we got involved in discussion about feminism, Portland, writing, and traffic.
I didn't get as much work done as I wanted to, but I definitely had fun and will definitely visit again.

Definitely my favorite coffee place OF ALL TIME!! They have very unique flavored coffee and they all taste amazing. Love the atmosphere of this shop and the staff is also very polite and friendly.

Reno has lots of coffee shops and they're all great and have different strengths. Old worlds coffee may be the best tasting depending who you ask, but their nitro latte is the best coffee drink in town, and that's a fact. You can google it.

Definitely the best cappuccino I have had in Reno. Friendly, quick staff. I am only in Reno for a couple of weeks but I will certainly return here many times before leaving! It is that good.

Highly recommend a visit if you're visiting Reno and need some coffee that's not from a chain or diner. Also recommend a visit if you're local...but you probably already know how great they are if that's the case.

Their drinks are divine inspirations. Iced green tea latte? Heavenly. Iced Chai latte? Perfectly robust with a hint of sweetness. And the coffee? I don't drink coffee, but I tried their nitro cold brew and peppermint lime latte--it's possible I'd never had good coffee before. Exquisite. Oh, and my pups were welcomed in to escape the summer heat. Aces.

I will have to go back and try something else. I got the caramel apple pie latte. It was like drinking a cup of dark chocolate. That's what it tasted like. Not being a big chocolate person, I was not a fan. But. I will go and try something different.

Absolutely loved this place. Great coffee, very knowledgeable and kind barista, welcoming atmosphere, and they clearly care a lot about the community. Will definitely make it a destination next time I'm in Reno.
