We first had BJ Bull in Palo Alto California. And, we have stopped there in Elko Nevada while driving 80 East & Westbound for more of their great food. Pasties are something everyone should at least try and if you live in Elko or are passing by on 80, you are not going to be disappointed.

I've never had a Cornwall pasty before so I was intrigued to stop by to try one. I asked for the most popular pasties, and the cashier told me it depends on the day, but chili verde, beef & cabbage, and beef & potato were popular. I ended up getting a beef & cabbage pasty, since it was the first one on the menu. Anyway, I was asked if I wanted to eat it here or to-go, and I looked around and decided to stay, despite covid. The counter seating had three stools with six feet apart, so I sat and ate. The pasty was okay, it was lukewarm but not very flavorful. I saw the sauces when I was ordering and paying, so I went over and got some of their BBQ sauce and spicy sauce. That made the pasty a lot better, but it was still really bland. For $5.30, it was a bit pricey, especially for not being very tasty.

Took the family here while we were passing through Elko. The kids split a beef and potato pastie and love it. My beef and potato was great as well but the real winner was the rhubarb fruit pie. Serious the best pie I've ever eaten. Only downside was no much seating.

BJ's is one of Elko's best kept secrets ! Delicious, affordable and thoroughly authentic Cornish pasties (my parents lived in Cornwall) - fresh out of the oven, served by your genial host. Take 'em home or sit in the sun and enjoy !.

I would eat here again if it was winter. Pasties are heavy. Definitely better than most pasties I've had in the US. The crust was light but not as flavorful or rich as I would like. The best part of the meal were the sauces. Those had better flavor than the actual meal items we had.

Just stop in, totally worth it. 5 mins from the freeway. Great pasty shop. I stopped with about eight guys and they were great. Hot fresh and so good.

Love the different twists that are used for the variety of pasties that are served here. All are delicious and filling.

We stopped in Elko for breakfast and had noticed the Internet had recommended their Cornish pasties. It was so worth the stop! I had the beef and cabbage and my husband had their egg and cheese one. Both were fantastic! Several years ago in England we had ate these wonderful meat pies and the BJ Bull Bakery's were every bit as good. Don't miss stopping here.
