I hail from Portland, Oregon (a foodie's paradise), so believe me when I tell you this place is "it"!

It's as if a piece of Portland has been plucked up and plopped down in Gering, Nebraska. I feel completely at home here. The food is amazing - their lunches and brunches! I highly recommend whatever eggs bennie Jamie has cooked up for the month's brunch special as well as the fish tacos. Oh, God! The fish tacos! They are amazing. They're perfect. I've written a poem about them (No, seriously, I have!)

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the staff helpful and spirited, and the proprietor loaded with spunk and talent! Try some of the pastries before you leave!

The people and the food here are really wonderful. I really enjoy stopping here when I am traveling through the area. Amazing high quality food you usually don't find so easily on the road.

This is my new favorite place to meet up with friends when I'm in the Scottsbluff/Gering area. Staff is super efficient and friendly; and everything on the menu is fresh and delicious, from avocado toast to authentic German items (try the grebel).

The Mixing Bowl is my husbands and I's go to restaurant. We adore brunch because Jaimie pulls out all the stops and really gets creative! We really get excited about how Jaimie works hard to source as much produce, eggs and other items locally. She is a champion of local producers so we love to support her. If we are eating out we are eating at the Mixing Bowl

You can tell this place cares about customer experience. Food was top notch and service was super friendly! If you're looking for a professional yet comfortable atmosphere look no further! I love this place!

We used to live in Scottsbluff but we moved to Lincoln. I used to go to the Mixing Bowl all the time while I was working in Gering. I stopped into the Mixing Bowl this morning for coffee for the first time in over a year, and it was SO GOOD! The "Dirty Hippie on Crack" drink is amazing, and I haven't found a coffee shop in Lincoln that compares.

The people that work at the Mixing Bowl are always helpful and will offer suggestions if you're not exactly sure what you're looking for. I really appreciate that about them.

My only complaint was we didn't have time for lunch today, because their food is awesome! Everything from butterball soup to tequila lime chicken sandwiches and homemade runzas, all the food we've had here is amazing!!

If you love chai or coffee, try the Dirty Hippie on Crack at the Mixing Bowl Cafe! It's chai tea, chocolate, soy milk and espresso! 😍☕️☕️☕️

This is Scottsbluff/Gerings best keep breakfast secret! Great pancake recipe, incredible sausage recipe with just the right amount of spicy kick, awesome & unusual omelette combinations served with crunchy hashbrowns, and choice of toast. And the house brewed coffee is smooth, full bodied without the harsh, acidic finish. This is a gem of a coffeehouse/cafe/bakery. Order the pancakes with sausage, eggs any way you want them, side of Lingonberry jam and the house green salsa. You will be back the next day :)

Amazing coffee, food and people! Never disappointed with anything when we go there. Strongly recommend trying this place if you're in Gering around breakfast!
