Fantastic food and service. The staff make you feel welcome and the food is delicious! This is our favorite family spot after church!

Absolutely AWESOME food and service!! My 2nd grader proclaimed the BEST hash browns in Nebraska — 10 stars!! My husband had the green chili breakfast burrito which was hands down the best in the panhandle as well. My bottomless French Toast was the perfect blend of cinnamon, vanilla and kindness that truly required no syrup!! My teenager (who also is a self-proclaimed biscuits & gravy expert) said the gravy was perfection!! We also got some baked goodness of apple fritters and everything bars to go - YUM!!

Quite warm inside to dine inside the food was delicious. A little pricey though. The wait staff were very friendly and promptly attended to my table.

This was my wife's and my first visit there and we were thoroughly impressed. The brunch menu had a good number of selections and they all looked so good I was struck with decision paralysis. After asking the waitress to help me decide I selected the short rib french toast. It was one of the most delicious things I've ever eaten. My wife loved the ranchero burrito she ordered as well. The coffee was also fantastic. We are looking forward to our next meal there.

We were on a business trip from Denver to Gering. A good friend from Denver said we need to eat at the Mixing Bowl. It’s a very comfortable, small retro diner vibe with a great selection of freshly made bakery treats and tasty breakfast and lunch choices. The eggs benedict and biscuits and gravy were awesome! Very attentive service too. Will definitely be back on the next trip to Gering.

Awesome food and service. Unfortunately I forgot the name of our waitress. I do remember her beautiful tattoos. I guess it is a guy thing. We are from Colorado Springs and we might just make a special trip on German day for lunch.

I really wanted to like this place. It is small and local and just the type of place we look for when traveling. However, the service and food were mediocre. And they had already run out of soup at 12:30! That is poor planning. The pastries were terrible. My daughter did not eat her fries. (A rarity, indeed.) The Cuban was edible if inauthentic and my little one said her burger was "great." I would try this place again on another visit and hope for better things. Everyone has an off day here and there and the other reviews are good.
Update!
My daughter went and they were out of soup! How the heck did they get known for soup when they never have any? She went another time and they were closed for no apparent reason. Wow.

A gem of a restaurant. Their all day breakfast menu, especially the breakfast burrito, is a family favorite. Comfort food at its best.

If you aren't in a huge hurry and have time for an authentic, homemade meal, this is the place. It's a small and homey establishment with excellent food and pastries. Do not pass up the jalapeno burger or their homemade ranch!

Went here for Mother’s Day and had a wonderful meal. All 4 of us had the breakfast burrito and really enjoyed it. You can tell the food is fresh.
Place was packed obviously and that slowed down the service time, but who cares. When the friendly staff and anticipation of good food coming I don’t mind the wait.
Their smothered green chili is AMAZING.
Love this place.
