This is my favorite restaurant in America. The food is absolutely delicious & the portions are huge. The staff is extremely friendly, as well as everyone who visits. Honestly I would move to Darby because of the Montana Cafe.

Went on a 55 day bicycle tour across the country and this was the best breakfast I had the entire trip. I still dream about the "monkey toast" I had there.

We go to Montana cafe for breakfast quite often, the last 2 times we have not received any refills on our coffee. We know when we go that it will be an hour no matter how busy it is, we don't mind that's when we all visit and catch up, but it's pretty bad when there's only one other table and I get eyes rolled at me when I ask nicely for coffee..
Won't be back for awhile for sure.

The family owned restaurant have come up with an awesome hamburger. They named it the Trapper. It's made with two grilled cheese sandwiches instead of the regular bun. Plus they have a really good menu for you to choose from.

Great place to eat
You can drive by the ranch where they filmed Yellowstone right down the road

I have eaten here a few times. Arguably the best food I have eaten, ever!
I will be taking my annual motorcycle trip there in June or July, and this is the end goal.
I cant wait! Dallas, Tx to Darby, MT, just to eat here :D

Very nice people working here. The food tastes like a good home cooked meal, and they even serve Buffalo! The fries are great.

The food is amazing! My 9 year old son now considers this his favorite restaurant of all time.

Little cafe in a little town- wasnt sure what to expect. It is kind of what you expect, but I was really happy with the food we ordered (both ordered burgers) and the staff were really great and kind!

While it appears to be everything you'd expect from a small town cafe, after a visit you'll agree—it is that and so much more. The Montana Cafe is a family owned and operated restaurant where the whole family contributes. The menu has all the staples—omelets, hamburgers, etc., but also has some original creations as well—The Trapper is a hamburger with two grilled cheese sandwiches as the buns. I ate it and am still licking my chops, and rubbing my stomach because it really fills you up. A great place to take your family, or just stop if you're passing through. Highly recommended.
