Montana Café

Best breakfast around. Family run with big portions of home-cooked food served with a smile. Loved this place just wish I lived closer.

Food was good but service was terrible. The wait time was very long. Everything I asked for they didnt have even though it was advertised. *edit* The owner commented and said I didn't eat there because they don't advertise anything. I meant what was advertised on the menu was not available. They said the cook was not in at 12 noon to make the soup. Carrot cake was not available because they didn't frost them etc. The service was just not very good overall. Don't tell me I didn't eat here because you can't take criticism. Also, it took 10 months to respond to a review, that should say a lot!

This place has good food but WAY SLOW. 40 minutes for bacon, eggs and hashbrowns. There was only one other customer in the place when we got there. Owner needs to hire some one to show the staff how to be efficient. Young man waiting on us was very nice.

The Montana Cafe has the best food in the Bitterroot!!! It is family owned and operated. Tonight we had the "special"...... delicious tender pork loin roast, mashed potatoes and carrots, oven roasted zucchini, toasted sourdough bread, and salad. You always need a "to go box" because the portions are very generous! You will NEVER leave hungry! Our favorite ❤️ place to eat!

I love this place. I live here so I often see friends here. Some reviewers will most likely say that it takes a long time to get your food here, but if you're in a hurry go to McDonald's. Good food takes time. I bet you can't finish the Big Sky burger.

Montana Cafe is a very delightful place to eat. Family owned and run, very polite, the waiter was very impressive, he knew the menu, he took our order without writing it down, what we ordered was cooked to perfection. Will def go back to this Cafe again.

Awesome country breakfast. Blueberry Pancake was enormous....

Large portions at very reasonable prices, the food was great and the staff were friendly and accommodating.

If you’re in a rush (don’t be!), this is not the place for you. But if you love excellent, home cooked, fresh food, then this is DEFINITELY the place for you. Big portions and big flavor. Family owned. We will definitely be back!!!

Great food and great prices. This time service was super slow. I think all the hunters left camp and all showed up at once.
