A favorite and a must every time we are in Darby. Service and food are both amazing. Everything we've tried is great as well as their cakes, cobblers and pies. Highly recommend.

First time eating here. Food was amazing. I had the country fried steak and potatoes. They weren't hashbrowns, they were more like home fries, but they were soooo good. The country fried steak had a ton of flavor and was sooo tender. We had to ask the waiter for more coffee and it took a while for our food to cook, but it was worth it.

I would drive 100 miles out of my way to dine at the Montana Cafe. There is no way that you leave this place hungry. Hubcap sized pancakes. HUBCAP, people. That is no exaggeration. Oh, and the carrot cake. My girlfriend was going to leave me for the carrot cake.

Good food and service! I stop every time I go by. You won't leave hungry!

What a great place to have a meal. It takes a little bit of time but well worth it. I had a ham and cheese sandwich with sweet potatoes. I've never had so much ham on a cheese sandwich wow well worth it.

Nice people and good lunch. They close at 2:00 but still let us in at 2:15. We were expecting a classic old Montana cafe but this was not the one that used to be in Hamilton.

Our expectations were that we would find the Montana Cafe as described in the Hank Williams Jr. song. Warm, homey, country atmosphere with a lot of character ie; wood, Montana artifacts, pictures, paintings, etc. What we got instead was a restaurant with almost NONE of the above. It may have been renovated lately, but it was all painted wallboard (except for one metal-covered wall) and a green carpet.
HOWEVER, the food was GREAT (even though they had no pies available) and the staff were very nice and did a fine job of taking care of the service. Our rating was strictly based on the total disconnect between our expectations and the reality of the physical restaurant building. Perhaps Hank Williams was a little bit inebriated when he visited this establishment, but the current owners could do themselves a big favor by listening to Hank's song and trying to emulate it ... just a LITTLE bit.

So delicious!! Very generous portions. Family owned and operated with the most respectable boys working. My favorite place to eat!! The waiter ensures your happiness and does it with a smile!!

Good home town cafe to have breakfast. Visiting my granddaughter and she recommended this place and I enjoyed their breakfast here with a home town feel. Service was excellent !!

The trapper is a beautiful beast. Double burger but instead of a bun it's 2 grilled cheese sandwiches
