Hummingbird Cafe

Nice find in Butte. This place saved me in the land of fried food and meat. So great to find a healthy vegetarian alternative in a cute and welcoming environment. I agree with the other reviews that say the service is spotty , but with a smile, so worth it.

We stopped in for a quick breakfast driving through town. It wasn't busy and multiple people were working, but service was extremely slow. We waited 30 minutes for simple breakfast food (french foast, scrambled eggs, breakfast bagel) and when it finally arrived it was cold. Additionally, the portions were small for the price. The Bronx bagel sandwich was more the size of a mini bagel than a New York bagel.

We ate some of the food since we were in a hurry. Our waitress offered to get us something different when she checked on us when we were almost finished and took half off the total check for the cold food which is why I'm giving two stars instead of one. Overall we won't be going back. Except for good coffee, nothing about the experience makes me want to try the cafe again.

Hummingbird Cafe was the first recommendation on my navigation and it did not disappoint. The cafe is quaint and just what I needed after driving in the car for nine hours. The salad was enormous and incredibly fresh. When I needed to get back in the highway, they were so nice in offering a to-go box and a top off of my coffee. Thank you for the awesome pit stop on my cross country drive!

*Gone down hill after making more changes and the hours are awful. Sad to see a great place be run so poorly. I wouldn’t recommend anymore.

My favorite place to eat in Butte! The new bar and hours REALLY pushed up love for this place. They also have a quite an impressive selection of vegetarian and vegan items on the menu for Montana that I've loved each so far. Their vegan chocolate cake -- or as I call it -- chocolate cake -- is AMAZING!

The food is hit or miss and the service is always slow. I have never been there and left thinking, 'wow! That was some great service.' I am only giving it a 3, instead of the 2 it deserves, because it is the only genuine vegan option restaurant in Butte. There are other places to get vegan food in Butte, but it has to be special ordered as such.

I got the nonsuch quesa and it was huge and amazing! It had so much avocado, the tofu was cooked perfectly, and the almond crema was so good. We're visiting from out of town and this was one of the recommended vegan places. It was well worth it. My husband got an omelette and enjoyed it as well.

This place is a joke. The tables were dirty. Sat here for 45 minutes waiting on a blt, asked the staff the eta on the food, he said 5 minutes, came out 10 minutes later just to find out that its a tiny 12$ rip off of a sandwich. Never got a refill on my drink. The sandwich tasted good and thats the only positive thing I can say about this place.

We really enjoyed stopping for lunch at Hummingbird Cafe while driving through Montana. We had a party of seven and tried a good portion of their sandwiches. Everything tasted outstanding and service was pleasant. We were amazed to find such a great organic restaurant with so many gluten free choices.

Found this gem while in town. A seat yourself place however great table service . The sandwiches and salads are large fresh and tasty. A good mix of vegetarian and meat lovers options. I had the BLT and it was delicious.

Just stopped here on our way through Butte, so excited to find this gem! I believe that most, if not all, of the ingredients are organic. The breakfast wrap was delicious & the Parading with a Permit smoothie was super yummy! We also took 2 sandwiches to eat on the road. If I'm ever driving through Butte again I will definitely eat here again!
