Best cup of coffee I’ve had in Missouri so far. It was their Ethiopian. Not a ton of blueberry, which is what I’ve come to expect from Ethiopian coffee, but still a ton of flavor.

I ordered a Cuban sandwich, opened it up in my car and it was still steaming! It was the best Cuban I've ever had. Please go to this place, if you want that "Life is beautiful" feeling. I want to get a hot toddy next :)

I love this bakery. The coffee is great, breakfast is delicious, and I love being able to buy lots of local goods (goat cheese, nuts, coffee). The Annex has become a staple of mine.

This place is gorgeous and such a great addition to the street. The people were friendly. The food and meats all looked amazing. My tea was great. My tabouleh was delicious.

**BUT** There is a petite, female employee working behind the deli who needs a very basic lesson in customer service. I ordered a tea and tabouleh and my total was $15 something, so I assumed the guy at the register charged me for 1lb of tabouleh, so that’s what I ordered at the deli counter. She made it clear she didn’t believe me and she VERY loudly (and in front of the entire shop) flat out accused me of not paying for my tabouleh. Like I’m scamming for deli salad? She then (and again, very loudly) chastised the guy who rang me out and then just walked away. No apologies, no “sorry for the misunderstanding,” nothing. It was incredibly uncomfortable. And to boot, I’m fairly sure I got charged $9.50 for the tabouleh, but only received $7 worth from the deli guy who weighed it out. I know this place just opened and there are going to be kinks, but the woman’s behavior was seriously inexcusable and wildly inappropriate. Never in my life has anyone talked to me like that.

I’m still leaving 5-stars because I really, truly like the place and leaving a bad review for one rampantly foul employee seems unfair.

I know I’ll be back, but I hope in the meantime this employee gets the talking to she needs.

Great shop / coffee shop / sandwich shop. So far I've had a bhan mi, a Cuban sandwich, and a couple different lates. Great atmosphere, lovely heated porch, and tasty food.

Such a gem... pick up a Latta, a piece or whole quiche so amazing, Cuban sandwich heated with side of Billy Goat chips, get some bacon and smoked turkey to go for your weeks lunch. don't forget a scone and coffee. all great stuff. Good thing I don't live closer !

I miss the days of when all your major grocery stores and department stores had dining establishments built in. I am glad a few exist. For those who want to stop here for coffee, but can't drive, this place is served by MetroBus route number 56.

The food here is amazing. The coffee too.

Grabbed a drip coffee and blueberry lemon muffin to go. Both were delicious, and the service was friendly and quick. Neat interior, perfect for a 1:1 coffee meetup or date. Glad to have The Annex as a new staple in Old Orchard!

A great place to have breakfast, coffee, lunch, or a cocktail. They have a small shop with plenty unique shelf stable goods and several things that would be a great gift for any foodie.
