Protagonist Cafe

Stopped by here on my way out of St. Louis. Cozy interior, great menu, and an excellent assortment of used books (some of which you can buy for really good prices!)

The owners also have some homemade cards, bookmarks and other items for sale! It's a unique place, and makes for a good stop! If I lived in St. Louis, I'd definitely be a regular here!

Coffee / cappuccino excellent. Nice friendly service. Very quiet and relaxing place. Has some nice scones , cookies, brownies etc. Great cafe.

Ordered an Italian Cream Soda and the London Fog, both were delicious! Staff are super patient and knowledgeable. Wonderful place to curl up with a book for a while.

Cute cafe with used books and some cute gifts. Great atmosphere for various ages. The kids enjoyed playing games at their table while we had tasty treats.

As a place to hang out and do some work or read a book, this place has all the ambiance. If I lived nearby, I would probably spend hours in this place but won’t go out of my way for it on a road trip. Unfortunately, the coffees were only so-so. They got better once we stirred them up, and it was pretty busy that day. The baristas were really nice and on top of getting our orders out.

Hopping little spot. Wonderful coffee house with everything you would expect and more. Many Amazing batista here and lots of spots to sit or work.

Super awesome café with a calming atmosphere! Chris was super awesome to suggestion something else for me instead because the original drink I wanted had dairy in it. I appreciate he went the extra mile to give me great customer service!

this coffee shop is super cute plus the worker was extremely helpful and almost all the bakery case treats were vegan.
