MoKaBe's Coffeehouse

The best food of any coffee shop in town. And they have a great selection of political and social issue books.

A serviceable "alternative" style coffeehouse. Things I enjoy most include the friendly staff and the cozy upstairs seating. The drinks are good generally. I can see a younger, hipster crowd really liking the space. I could do without the in your face social justice warrior decor and feel.

This is my go-to study space. Their specialty lattes are delicious hot or cold, and their food is super tasty. During midterms and finals for my grad school courses I spend a lot of time at MoKaBe’s, and it always feels warm and welcoming. I also love the fact that they have a track record of standing up for their political beliefs and support local artists by featuring locally-crafted items for purchase throughout the downstairs. This is a great local coffee shop to patronize if you’re sick of Starbucks or want to shop local.

I had a veggie burger and vegan brownie while driving through St. Louis and they were both delicious! I loved the menu, something for everyone and decent prices! I hope to eat here again in the future!

The atmosphere and quesadillas was great. I was able to add five people to my circle and many more to come. I enjoyed a conversation I had with a staff. The latte I had was good too! Recommend by a Google reviewer. I'm definitely going back soon!

It's a nice place. A human atmosphere. A lot of attractive women. Many people funneling in and out. I had a drink. It was very good. Prices are somewhat high. However it was a very good drink. Also, not unheard of prices. Overall it's a really cool place to hang out with friends. Also, free WiFi. They have board games as well.

I love Mokabe's. Not only did they have best brunch in St. Louis, they really care about their community. I have seen much needed compassion given to the less fortunate. A great STL assest.

Wonderful atmosphere and the staff is excellent. My wife and I met friends for brunch and the experience was amazing. We had the brunch buffet (vegan dishes) and it was excellent! ❤❤❤ this place and we will be visiting as regulars from now on.

Here for the weekend so happy we found this coffee shop. MoKaBe's is so much more than a coffee house. What a welcoming, wonderful space. Love the lay-out of the shop. ANYONE would be welcome & safe here.

The food was awesome and so many choices. The drinks - I think I screed .. twice!! Amazing selection of drinks. Heaven is a cup, mug or glass. Go thirsty - order several drinks.

The signs in the front windows, various pictures on the walls, and stickers covering all but a few square inches of the walls and refrigerator around the barista(s) make it fairly obvious that the owner(/management?) have some rather strong and aggressive political views, but my experience suggested that the place is ironically good at capitalism.
The menu is pretty diverse, featuring breakfast and lunch/dinner options, and while I didn't pay much attention to the food prices, the prices for coffee-based beverages were fairly in-line with what I've seen at a coffee shop in a much smaller, less expensive city (said establishment ethically sourced all their coffee; no insight one way or another about MoKaBe's sourcing). The coffee was freshly-ground and of quality I was satisfied with.
On a Friday night, at least, there was ample seating both in the cafe area and in a back section up a flight of stairs.
I also appreciated the range of open hours, in contrast with many coffee shops in the area closing around the time I'd be able to make it there after work.
