I'm a fan of their breakfast foods especially the biscuits and gravy. I enjoy the specialty lattes (Dr. David) is my favorite. Hot cold fantastic.
Brunch is fantastic!
My only complaint is their sandwiches consistently come with plain chips and if you order upcharge for fries they are frequently both still frozen and burnt on the ends.
They need to go back to Billy goat chips.

Great welcoming atmosphere with top notch food and to die for coffee drinks! I was there over two hours yesterday waiting for then having brunch with my sister. As excellent as the beverages, food and atmosphere were, the STAFF outshone everything! The welcome was warm and inviting, each person Made me feel like a favorite relative come to visit (even when I had a spill)...loved that a cook who prepared our food brought it to the table. I will be back anytime I'm in the area and will be spreading the Word MoKaBe's is a Grace-Full space for humans being...

MoKaBe’s not only has delicious coffee and food, but the most comfortable atmosphere to do work, meet with friends, or just enjoy a cup of coffee. Despite the stress of covid, the employees are always friendly and have created an outdoor patio space that feels safe, sanitized, and relaxing. Love this place!

A favorite place to hang out with friends, grab a bite after time in the park, or sit outside and watch the world go by! The Vietnamese coffee is my fav!

Breakfast is super yummy. Good place to get work done. Grab coffee etc. MO the owner, has been very supportive of the community in times of need and is a super down to earth person. I'm not a fan of the lunch personally but Brunch there is EVERYTHING especially if you're vegan. It is a must try! Open fairly early and to a decent time at night, it's a good place for meeting all the basic young millennial needs.

I love this place and their community outreach.
I do a lot of writing here. For some reason it's just really conducive to me getting lots of work done. Great space. They also have good coffee and have accommodated my gluten free dietary needs by adjusting their menu options for me. The staff is kind and intelligent and funny. It is situated right across from beautiful Tower Grove Park.

MoKaBe's is easily my favorite STL coffee shop. I love their flavored lattes and their espresso shake is my go to pick me up for bad days. I don't get food there often but every time I have it has been delicious.
Their commitment to social activism is also really inspiring. So if you are looking for a local replacement for your starbucks runs, may I please recommend them!

Got takeout for two right after open on a Saturday morning: two dirty chai lattes, "brioche" french toast, and a breakfast sandwich.
I'm sure that a ton of the charm of this place is the place itself, so I get that I'm missing out on that. This review is for the food and drink, and the online ordering experience. I'm sorry if I'm panning a local institution—and I'm willing to move this score up if the building's charm helps me get over the food.
Pros: Food was ready quickly
Cons: Expected better food for the price, online ordering system adds 15% tip without it being obvious, "brioche" was probably a lie
If I had to guess, the french toast was Sysco sliced bread: sad, thin, floppy stuff. Everything on the breakfast sandwich felt bottom-of-the-barrel, too. Maybe this is the reality that we're living with: businesses have to cut costs and make more money per plate, and charging $8 before tip and tax for six sad slices of bread is the only way to do it.

The employees are always friendly and great to talk to. I try to stop by after I get off work because I like to sit down and eat, or sit outside with some coffee. The menu has great vegan options, including the black bean burger that is cooked wonderfully and very filling. It's a very clean, comfortable, and a nice space to be.

Mokabee's is great. We come here occasionally but after a really positive experience today, I was compelled to write a review. I was having trouble getting our order through online, which didn't take after a few tries. And despite it being after their noon cut off for breakfast by the time we had discovered this, Reeny sorted it out and took our breakfast order anyway. Not only that, but they threw in some cookies for the confusion. Steps like that go a long way. The food (vegetarian biscuits and gravy) was delicious and the service was exemplary. The staff here is always wonderful and friendly, the lattes are very nice, with several creative flavors, and their food is excellent café fare. Love this place and will make an effort to come more after our experience today.
