Big Momma's Coffee & Espresso Bar

It was a cool rainy afternoon, the perfect time to hang out in a coffee shop sipping lattes and tea! The atmosphere is definitely retro, feeling like you just stepped back into the 60’s or 70’s. The food was quickly prepared and delicious and the coffee/tea warming for the soul. If we had more time in town, this would be a regular stop to recaffinate!

If you haven't been here to eat you are really and truly missing out! The menu has so many options from vegan, to us meat lovers. Smoothies, Itlian sodas.The breads are made fresh every day. All of the salads are amazing and you can get them to create any option. Please remember to tip them well!!! Many of them that work there are in school paying there own way!!!

The Drury Lane is the one sandwich I always come back to here. The chicken salad here is phenomenal. I would say Big Momma’s has the best chicken salad in town. You get a nice crunch from the bits of celery. It’s seasoned perfectly without having a strong mayonnaise flavor. The bread is paired well with the chicken salad. It’s very pillowy and soft to chew. This is definitely my go-to sandwich here.

Food was great and coffee very good. The only reason I didn't give it a higher rating is because it seemed not kept up and on the dirty side.

This was my first time visiting this establishment, and I was extremely disappointed. I understand if they were short on menu items, but I came in at 9:30 looking for breakfast and they were basically out of everything I wanted. When I decided to just get a smoothie instead, they ended up forgetting that I ordered it and I had to wait until they asked me if I was waiting on something to remind them I ordered a smoothie. Really unfortunate first time visit, and the staff were really nonchalant about missing almost half the breakfast menu so I will not be returning.

Ten star service and they always have a smile. The breakfast and lunch options are absolutely bananas, and they sell them too!! Coffee, teas, smothies, espresso shots, you name it!! Great place for business meetings and networking groups too! My upcoming business meeting is being held there because they sell great food too! Laid back environment with friendly, helpful, tenured staff!! They support local artists, all over the walls of their beautiful historic building. Love them! Stop by and fall in love!! Found this shop when I brought my daughter down to S'field to get her hair done. Coffee is perfect, atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Trivia for a discount on your drink? Absolutely...Had the Daybreaker Sandwich today for breakfast...filling, delicious, and priced right. This is now MY tradition on C-Street in Springfield....

Great coffee! I have been coming here for years. It has been neat to watch this place grow. They do seem to be out of ingredients of varying types but I think it’s just locally sourced. I like the tall dark and handsome! They also have a killer English tea!

Great place to eat and get some work done! I am currently going on the Springfield Coffee Adventure and needed a place to focus. I live near C-street, so decided to try Big Momma's out. The sandwich was fantastic, the coffee nice and fresh, and the location perfect. You need to check them out, even if you just want to see the retro interior!
