Big Momma's Coffee & Espresso Bar

Atmosphere is great, the staff is nice and the food is yummy. It was my first time visiting friday. I did half sandwich half salad. When I ordered the chop salad it says that it has red onions in it. Being allergic to onions I made sure to order it without them, unfortunately when i started eating my salad it tasted like strong onion, sure enough there they were and it was too late i ate raw red onion. I stopped eating and brought my full bowl back and told them ( again) i am allergic to onions and that it was full of them. Without hesitation they took it back and remade my salad. They had great attitudes and were very kind. I will still come back. I highly recommend Big Mamas.

Great place keeping C-street lively! It has great coffee, smoothies, and a very tasty sandwich/salad menu! Even hosts an open mic night in the big back room periodically. The staff were always kind and welcoming and the ownership is passionate about preserving and developing the culture of the historic C-street. It was always a pleasure to visit!

The prices were great, coffee good, baristas not so friendly. BUT they have hedgehogs.

Definitely my favorite coffee shop in Springfield. Their customer service is out of this world and I always feel welcome/appreciated when I visit. Big Mommas also has some awesome lunch options, my favorites are The Globe and the Elegant salad. Would strongly recommend this shop :)

Easily my favorite coffee shop in town. Their seasonal drinks are great and unique with every change and the food is excellent. They also are very involved with their community. Events are held here frequently, and I encourage everyone to keep an eye on Big Momma's events!

I love this coffee shop! They have a large back room with many tables for study and work. Also some comfy couches and chairs. I got the half-sweet Gingerbread Man latte and it is spiced perfectly. The WiFi is fast and easily accessible. One of the baristas offered me a student discount I didn’t know about - great customer service!

Don't go here. Just don't. The young man taking my order did not know if their syrups are vegan so he went to ask. Out comes an older man who was incredibly rude. His response was that he doesn't know if they are vegan. And he kind of acted like it offended or annoyed him. He just stood their looking at me and I him until he said, "Well, do you want me to find out?" Uhhhh yeah I do, Sparky. How am I supposed to order unless I know that? Then he continued on the vegan talk by saying he used to be vegan until he came around. He even rolled his eyes when the guy who took our order told him I wanted almond milk. So here's want you need to know about this place. This particular staff member (who might be the owner for all I know) is rude. So customer service is a zero. And the coffee is a tad under mediocre. The bathrooms had no soap, the floors looked dirty, and it just looks all around dirty in here. The menu is cluttered and hard to read too. Instead of this place try nearby Eurasia. It's much better all around including how good their coffee is to how customer service is supposed to be. And guy if you don't like vegans then don't offer vegan options. We will gladly go elsewhere (including all of my non vegan friends) right down the street to Eurasia or anywhere but here.

Located in an old, brick building flavored downtown setting, its place on Commercial St. puts the railroad tracks in view through the back windows, which are up on a little stage that hosts an open mic on Monday nights. The smoothies come recommended, and the atmosphere is divided evenly so it's comfortable to stop in the front for a minute on a hot day or to stretch into a warm sofa in the back for a long afternoon. The staff has been friendly to me for every visit over the years, and the draw is to come visit the Historic Commercial St. area as a whole and its burgeoning little Bohemian scene.

Like any good coffee shop, Big Mommas has its own atmosphere. Plenty of space and a small variety of seating options. Also, I LOVE the menu options and the price is good too.

Great place, awesome coffee, terrific food, atmosphere is delightful. I would highly recommend you try it 😉
