Ahadu Coffee

Tried for the first time today! The flavors are so unique and so delicious and we were even offered samples before ordering! The owner was incredibly nice and friendly. If you need some coffee or just a good conversation come here.

I was introduced to Ahadu, this lovely family owner coffee and pastry shop by a client. Fantastic Ethiopian and East African freshly roasted coffee, crepes. Ahadu has become like an extended family. The warmth and care that Teddy and his staff give to every patron is unmatched. I’ve moved several of my weekly meetings over there. I would highly recommend it.

This is by far the best coffee in Lee's Summit, maybe even Kansas City. The owner is so sweet too and helpful, with a cheerful, genuine smile. I have tried a few drinks and each of them are fabulous. Definitely come here!

If you're in the area, you have to try this place! Teddy, his employees, and his family will bless you with an authentic Ethiopian coffee experience you won't find anywhere else. At Ahadu, "you can taste the coffee in the milk" as they say, which is really how coffee should be. Teddy's love and enjoyment of coffee is evident not only in the way the drinks are prepared, but also in his passion to share his knowledge and curious coffee innovations with his guests. Follow up March 2020:
We were finally able to try the crepes, and wow we've been missing out! We had the Ham Pesto crepe and it was easily one of the best crepes we've ever had (compared even with crepes in Paris, France). The crepes are absolutely delicious and very generous in size, so come hungry! (Fri-Sun, 9am - 3pm)

Located directly across from St. Luke's East, great location for that early morning caffeine fix. The Ahadu special is my favorite drink. Teddy, the owner is so nice and down to earth. Can't wait to go back for my next espresso.

Excellent, excellent, excellent! The owner and staff are very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about coffee. This is everything you could want in a local coffee shop/roaster.

Delicious handcrafted coffees! This coffee shop even has its own roaster. Quality is much better than the “corporate stores“. Highly recommend!!

The coffee here is absolutely amazing! It has flavor on its own and is well sourced with the business giving back to the farmers. The atmosphere is great; it is a great place with a sense of community that gives back. The owner is extremely nice and the service is wonderful. I would highly recommend this place.

Delicious crepes! Enjoyed the chicken sun-dried tomato crepe and the lemon sugar crepe. Excellent quality coffee and tea and nice people. So glad we tried this and excited to come back and try more off their menu.

If I could give Ahadu more than 5 stars I would. This is such a special place! The owner Teddy really cares about his customers and trying to make each experience special. He goes above and beyond as an owner. He will check in with his guest to make sure they are enjoying themselves and their drinks. He has even given me samples of coffee to help me find the right one! And he is very knowledge on the subject of all things coffee. He is always improving the store whenever inspiration strikes him. He just added a wonderful mural to the shop with the help of a local small time artist. They created a beautiful piece on different coffee producers from around the world. Not only is Teddy the owner great but so is his staff.
I have had the pleasure of being served by Savanna and Kadreona! Savanna is such a kind presence. She cares about all her customers and makes sure she can give you the best drink possible. She has taken time to explain different drinks to me as I am a novice on the subject. It was so helpful and appreciated. She helped me learn differences without ever feeling like it was a dumb question. She had checked on me while she went around cleaning tables. I appreciated her service so much. I have also been taken care of by Kadreona who is also fantastic. She took the time to check on me and even build a rapport. She even gave me great advice for my plants! So many shops make you feel like you are just another customer. But not at Ahdua! You aren't a customer but a welcome guest. I will continue to give this coffee shop my business and I suggest you do the same! I have yet to have a bad drink or experience. This is a 10 out of 5 stars kind of place.
