Made in KC Cafe - Downtown

This is very close to where we live so we have been several times for coffee and drinks. Both are consistently good as is the service. I did not leave five stars because on our most recent visits my husband wanted to exchange a t-shirt he had bought for another size and the barista could not have been more rude. I still can't figure out what the big deal was. We were polite with our request and the shirt was tagged and unworn. But, for some reason, our request to swap it for another size shirt seemingly ruined her day. Have not been back since.

Always fantastic brewed espresso drinks. I have recently had to start drinking decaf and their blend is robust with a full mouth feel and a slight nuttiness. Staff is outgoing and cordial and fast on fulfillment. Outdoor seating area on the street is the best downtown experience.

I wish I could say a ton more, however, it's just a coffeeshop. It's quaint and quiet, but the service nor the coffee will wow you. For the difficulty to find parking, it didn't seem worth it to me. The environment is cool however, and wouldn't mind giving this a WFH test.

My favorite coffee shop to hit before work! Everyone is friendly, quick service, and amazing coffee! Shop is very clean and beautifully styled.

This is definitely a 4.5 star place. Blame Yelp for not being able to do that. I love most everything about the place, the coffee and food are great. Sometimes the desserts look like they are a day or two past their prime but the drinks and employees are always perfect.

My main quibble is the wall of retail in the back room takes away from the what could be a great atmosphere in the back room. I understand the business model is based on the revenue from those items. Like I said, a quibble.

All in all a great place.

Their decent? Not alot of options, no flavorings for the coffee they only do hot coffee as well and and they are fairly pricey this cost about 11 dollars

This is regarding the Lenexa and Country Club Plaza stores. At Easter I bought my boyfriend a shirt (in the wrong size) and the Lenexa store was gracious enough to let me exchange it even though it was a sale shirt. Fast forward a week and the new shirt was also the wrong size!!!! I found the same shirt at the Made In KC online store and sent an email (no answer) and some Facebook messages (no answer) to see if I could somehow exchange the shirt AGAIN. After no answers and a 10 day trip, I called the Country Club Plaza store and spoke to the extremely helpful Cassandra (I think?) I told her my story and asked if I could somehow exchange it. She brainstormed a bit then said she would call all the stores and see if any of them had it in a large. Then, if they did, it would be transferred to the Lenexa store for me. She did, they did and 1 day (much less than the week she said it would take!) later I had the correct shirt in the correct size! The level of customer service is off the charts good and you have a customer for life now!

Good local coffee shop in the heart of the City. There is a plethora of pastries and drink combinations. The lounging is area tiny. It is best suited for solo dining but has a few large tables that can accommodate small groups. They have added a patio, which is a nice addition. The Made in KC store is incredible and home to everyone's favorite KC memorabilia.

Very rude staff and the worst latte I have ever had. I ordered No foam and received a latte with more than half my drink foam. It also didn’t taste that great. When I asked for the drink to be remade the staff argued with me and said that is how we make our lattes. I proceeded to ask for a cold brew. On the positive side the breakfast sandwich I ordered was excellent.
