Starkville Cafe is simply INCREDIBLE!!!! What an amazing find/ hidden gem! We tried a mixture of their specials on the small blue menu as well as breakfast items and not a single item disappointed. I'm not typically a sausage and ribs person but OMG they were out of this world!!! Peach cobbler was also insane we pretty much inhaled it. If you are in town or lucky enough to live locally this should be your stable spot for any meal!! Sooo yummy! And the staff were so nice, friendly and it was just an all around welcoming/ home feel environment! I can't wait to go back in a few months!

This place does not have the best of reviews however we found it pretty great. Small Town diner feel.

These people are great! We were the opposing team in town for a football game. They welcomed us heartily and made eating there a fun experience! Good home cooking in nice sized servings. We look for places like this when we travel.

No complaints about this restaurant at all! I enjoyed eating here. The restaurant has a sort of old timey feel with the pictures and decorations and openness. It's a great place for families as it is open and has large seating areas. The food was also wonderful! The pancakes are big, so I could not eat all 3 that I ordered. Omelets are great as well. Good place! I'll definitely be going back!!

An awesome old fashioned diner. I bought one of their coffee mugs.

What a cool little cafe! Had the pulled pork omelet with grits, it was wonderful! Everyone was so nice and friendly. Coffee cups kept full throughout breakfast. Very good service! Next time we're here visiting daughter in college, we'll be back to try something else! Great friendly little town!

Way way way over rated here. I've eaten breakfast here 4-5 times and the last will be the last.
Hash browns were cold, stone cold. < than room temperature. The omelet looked promising but it was covered with a huge pink bead of of Come Back sauce. It is pretty gross, tasted like mayo/ketchup mix. I don't know what it's in it they wouldn't tell me. There was enough of it to caulk a window. I didn't pay nor eat this garbage. To their credit they offered to heat the taters in a microwave.

This resturant is about the history and experience. While the food is nothing special, the service is great and the atmosphere is a relic paying homage to Starkville history. It's fun to experience but don't expect to be blown away by the food. I will say the duck butter waffle is fantastic.

How can one not love this place? It's Starkville and MSU tradition, and a delightful greasy spoon, to boot! Step right in to a warm, homey atmosphere and the best breakfast in town.
Although they get super busy almost every day, it's usually worth the wait. Having had both breakfast and lunch here, I can say both are quite good. The blue plate specials are solid, although the food does tend to be a bit greasy. That's just part of the charm.
Breakfast is the shining star, though. Fluffy pancakes, crispy hash browns, and eggs however you like them. Check out the biscuits - a southern classic. Be like me and get sweet tea for breakfast; it's strong and delicious. Bacon is always crispy, but if you're a sausage person...you MUST get the sausage. It's homemade, and some of the best sausage ever. Keep your eyes peeled for Starkville "celebrities" here -- I'll never forget visiting one morning when the whole girls basketball team rolled in! Teaire McCowan is a beast, and I love all the other girls, too. Hail State and Go Dawgs! :)
