Placed a to go order on the phone, waited 30 minutes to go pick up so it would be ready. when I got there all the staff had no idea what I was talking about, and claimed they never got my order. I even recognized the voice of the man on the phone. Along with that, the staff was in complete chaos. I asked for everything on a beagle panini and the lady forgot everything except the meat cheese and onions. I used to love this place because the food was good, but the staff at the Madison location was horrible. Go to Highland Village Beagle Bagel instead.

My wife and I love this place. Great staff and great food. Coffee is meh.... cookies and other sweet treats are great and of coarse the bagels are legit. A few times there has been a mistake or a problem and the staff have stepped up and made it right. No questions asked. Definitely recommend this place.
Only 4 stars because it’s just a bagel shop after all. It’s not like they’re going to get a Michelin Star anytime soon 😉

Surprisingly good bagels and a good selection. A little pricey but worth it. Chairs and tables a little worse for the wear but the staff was friendly and coffee good as well.

I tried the bagel sandwich which in terms of flavor was delicious, but the bagel itself wasn’t easy on my teeth ( a little dense) and was too chewy. Customer service was great so as a first time customer it was easy to order.

Not happy. I rarely leave negative reviews but I really wish we had skipped this establishment. Ordered two bagel sandwiches and was asked what we wanted for our side, and responded I didn't realize there was a side. He said you can have chips or pasta salad. We said sure, the pasta salad. We we were then rung out at the register and there was an added cost for the sides that we only accepted because they were presented as included. Before touching any food, we asked to have the pasta salad removed. We were told there needed to be a manager to refund. I don't really know if it was intentionally presented as included or not, but they really need to clarify this. I spent with tax almost $24.00 for 2 bagel sandwiches with 2 little side cups of mushy, bitter pasta salad we left behind. The world famous chicken salad had no grapes as advertised, had a lot of mayonnaise and had no visible chunks of chicken, as if it had been food processed. I also question their food handling procedures. Uncooked bacon wrapped w plastic was quickly removed from the tomatoes on front of us. The sandwiches were okay not good. I was most unhappy about being forced to pay for the unwanted sides and then the okay sandwiches provided no value either. My daughter did not think the smoked salmon was the freshest or very flavorful, the color looked weak to me. So far, we feel fine and maybe their egg bagels and bakery are worth trying, but food does not live up to the ornate and interesting building which drew us into the cafe.

We went in Sunday before lunch to order breakfast. They were out of eggs so we ordered two bagels with cream cheese, chicken salad and pancakes and bacon. The two bagels were incorrect and they didn’t offer to fix them. The three of us with food ate slowly waiting on pancakes for one of us to come. They never came and so I went to check on them and they acted like they forgot. Lady later came to our table to apologize that the grill had been off and it would be longer. I asked for money back and ordered a bagel instead. She started to give me my money back and another worker corrected her saying he had to pull the sales slip and refund my card back. Then after a very long time waiting he came back and said I needed to call back Monday because he couldn’t reach the manager and he didn’t know how to do a refund. I just wish they would have been upfront like with the lack of eggs that pancakes would take a while to prepare so we could have ordered something else. I live out of town but frequently visit this restaurant while visiting family. I was very disappointed with their lack of communication and attitude.

This place was absolutely warming, spacious, and the staff were so friendly and passionate about the food. Customer service was exemplary! However, the food was just okay. The pimento cheese and bagel chips were delish! The chicken and tuna salad was very blend, forgettable. The sandwiches were okay. I would like to try one of their other location, to give this restaurant one more chance.

i wouldn’t let my dog eat here tbh. not sure it’s ever been cleaned…..one of the most disgusting restaurants i’ve ever been to and i’m sure mayor mary would love to hear abt this. not exactly what you expect to find in high class madison…..food was okay thought !
