Workhorse Coffee Bar

When it's 6am and you need a vanilla Americano stat and a responsible breakfast you can feel good about hit up this place if you are in the area. I found it by accident because nothing's open that early! The staff are great. Always warm, authentic, knowledgeable and engaging. The coffee selection is second to none and I could eat their banana bread, vegetable quiche and ham and cheese crescents every day of my life. Best Mpls local find in 2020 so far for me!!!

The coffee is top-notch, and the staff is always amazing. This is my favorite coffee shop in the Twin Cities and I've been to a lot of coffee shops (I used to be a barista!). I highly recommend Workhorse to anyone looking for friendly service and great coffee.

I love workhorse! I wish every coffee shop had their pumpkin muffins, but they don’t so I guess I will always get to go to workhorse!

I love the folks who run and work in this coffee shop. So delightful, welcoming, and capable of taking good care of customers. Always fun to see what's happening Smallest Museum space. And, I guess I should say, great coffee too.

We had unremarkable coffee and pastries and quite cold service. The accessibility of this spot and lack of convenient parking is what in my opinion brings down the overall rating. Lots of great competition for coffee shops in the cities and we weren't convinced to go out of our way to go back.

Great vibes and great environment! Stay is super friendly as well. Love going in here when I have super long work days on my computer. Also, they have a unique and exceptional drink selection!

The prices are a bit higher than other places, but you get what you pay for. Silky lattes, perfectly balanced London Fogs, deep and balanced cappuccinos, smooth and rich macchiatos (REAL macchiatos!), simple and delicious food. More gluten-free options would be great, but the items they do have are wonderful. The atmosphere is casual, warm and welcoming. A+.

The best coffee shop ever for so many reasons!!

The coffee is amazing! There's a great variety and it's all so so good! I don't live that close and I'm still a regular. Love the coffee!

The atmosphere is so cozy. You walk in and feel welcome! They are so nice there. The owner ty is always there running around and is so so so sweet! I just adore ty and kristi!! They're so nice and always cheerful! They always have art on the walls and it's never the same boring paintings! There's tons of different medias used and it's always really cool and really great pieces!!

In other words go there!! Get great coffee and sit in a chill environment while you get some work done or just grab a cup for your morning commute!

My favorite coffee shop in Saint Paul. Staff is always super nice and the drinks are good. This was a regular stop for me pre covid and i'm excited to get back to that one day since the environment inside is always wonderful.

Great atmosphere and very cozy. The croissants are decent, but I am not a fan of the hibiscus tea. I would come back to try a coffee though!
