My absolute favorite coffeehouse in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, and possibly in all of my travels. I regularly travel 30 miles just to hit this shop for morning joe. I have been here so often that I've gotten to know the owners and they are certainly very passionate people. They run Bootstrap beans and make an exquisite espresso beverage every single order.
As exemplified by their Smallest Museum in Saint Paul rotating exhibit, they are quite active in the community. You'll be surprised to learn they're also one of the least expensive coffee shops in the entire metropolitan area; tip generously.

Good coffee, delicious pastries, and a chill-but-friendly atmosphere. I wish I lived closer; I only stop by about once a month when I have to go into my office. Every time I go there the staff is so genuinely friendly and welcoming, and it legitimately makes my morning so much better.

Didn't even know but the owner, Ty, was working the front taking orders, how humble! But even better is the miel coffee and soup special. Ty even went in the back to make sure the soup was hot enough! Great service and food!

Such a great espresso shake I had on Monday morning it was delicious and I will be seeing them again on Wednesday. The young lady that helped me was so nice and polite thank u for the wonderful 1st time experience, and that's why I'm going back 😄

Cozy, welcoming, and inclusive. The staff are always friendly and genuinely seem excited to help you. They have delicious coffee and an AMAZING vanilla espresso milkshake.

Unexpectedly, the Workhorse Coffee Bar had one of the best muffins I can recall being served anywhere. And the Up coffee is not too shabby either. Will definitely need to return…

Quality shop run by quality folks. Great treats too if they're available.

Amazing and friendly staff who genuinely care and get to know you as a regular. Their cold brew is top tier, and so is the atmosphere of the place. Prices are fair for all products and totally worth it. Please pay this local coffee shop a visit!

If you are looking for a coffee shop with a productive vibe, and the most genuine staff you'll ever have the pleasure to talk to, this is your shop. The drinks are legit, and while their menu isn't huge, it's got something for everyone. The baristas there take care with your drinks and they ALWAYS take a second to talk to you. From Day 1 I felt like a person as opposed to just a customer. The family who owns the shop are almost always working the front, right alongside their baristas(who are also just stellar genuine peeps). Ty has the best heart and seems to know everyone who walks in by name. Owners who actually work the front and form solid relationships with their guest are a rare breed, and I will happily continue to give them my business even if I ever move out of state.

This local coffeehouse, I'm sorry, but I ignored you for 10 years. But! I have found you. Your coffees and lattes are great. The roasted bean flavors comes through and mixes well, either hot or cold drinks.
I've sampled a couple baked goods and they were also delicious.
