Visiting from out of town, and this place caught my eye. Great atmosphere! However, I tried the lavender latte and cold brew and was underwhelmed. I’m more than willing to pay for a good cup of coffee and for the price this was not up to my standards.

A lovely coffee house in my neighborhood. A must for visitors.

Great coffee shop with good breakfast burrito. I went to Caribou and the coffee was so gross I had to throw it out. Spyhouse to the rescue! The coffee was very good. Breakfast burrito was delicious but tad small.

Spy House, you did it again! This was my first visit to the downtown Spy House. Considering the location, it was rather calm & quiet. However, the same can be said for the rest of downtown in light of the ongoing pandemic. Regardless, this location is an excellent place to work, study, or simply relax. The overall atmosphere is eclectically rustic with post-modern flair; something typical of any experience at Spy House.
The Greco-Roman pillars add unique character combined with a fire place in the middle of the seating area. Not meaning to sound facetious, but the built in bookshelves near the barista counter are missing an antique typewriter or two!
I look forward to making this location my new downtown go to coffee shop!
Sidenote:
It is always a plus whenever the wife enjoys the location as much as I do.

The vibe of this joint is really cool. Plenty of places to sit (with varying levels of comfort). The prices seem a bit stiff, but that's probably to be expected in downtown Minneapolis. I tried both a decaf mocha and the solid gold. The mocha wasn't as sweet as some I've had, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, just depends on what you dig on. The Solid Gold was (turmeric, ginger, oat milk) was good. Overall a worthwhile place to stop when you're in town.
