Five Watt Coffee, Kingfield

Please read this review as fast as you can to grasp how caffeinated I was. Not being the most adventures coffee drink I went with a larger latte. Boy was it good, the beans they use are perfect and the barista seems to know the right amount of milk to coffee unlike some of the larger chains that I don't think I need to name. Be warned the coffee packs a caffeine wallop. I drink coffee about every day and its been a while since I felt like this. The shop is cool and seems like a great place to sit and write some google reviews or listen to music.

My review is slightly biased but hopefully I leave some pertinent info. Pro baristas that have gained their stripes serving coffee for years in the TC. Super creative. Stylish but not snobbish. Well executed with out the attitude. Traditional coffee sizes. Great espresso!

I decided to come here because it was rated as one of the best coffee shops in Minneapolis, so of course, the traveler in me has this "thing" where i like to go to local coffee shops to buy coffees i like to bring home to make in Toronto. This is no exception either. The place was buzzing with activity when i walked in. Loved the look and ambience of the cafe, and they also have a patio area for guests to sit on. There's wifi for those who wish to work off their laptops and the noise level is pretty good.

I decided to try one of their cold drinks since it was a hot day and it did not disappoint! cold brew was great!! their drinks you can tell they def. put thought into it and it's super creative. their coffee here is definitely very good, and they do have a few options - i chose their darkest roast and bought a bag of it to bring home - excited to try making some expresso/coffee with these beans :) the baristas are also helpful in explaining about their beans and also their drink selection.

Anyone who is in town should DEFINITELY check out this place!!!

Five Watt is awesome - delicious drinks, super friendly staff, cool decorations, clean. Great place to meet up with a friend or get some work done (though note there isn't an abundance of outlets). Try the chi/cider drink. My only complaint is that sometimes the music can be a bit loud if you're trying to work, though having a conversation isn't a problem.

The specialty drinks are always excellent, albeit sometimes odd-sounding. Classic drinks are equally well-done. Staff seems genuinely pleased to be at work and will offer helpful opinions on orders. Five Watt has a great neighborhood vibe.

World-class espresso drinks. Seriously. My wife and I seek out the best coffee shops everywhere we go, and this place easily ranks in the top echelon. A simple cappuccino or latte here is a dream--pronounced and complex flavors, yum! The staff are always friendly, and the drinks are always prepared to same high standard.

Ok local coffee shop, although its hype is hard to live up to. The service crew seems a bit distracted at times. And there’s plenty of the typical table hoarding by those who nurse a single cup for hours that annoys so many of us who just want to enjoy our coffee and move on. The pastry is not really superior, but a reasonable selection was to be had.

I’d return if I was in the area, but not for a special trip.

I work 3 doors down from this amazing coffee shop and have had to add a line item to my budget because I cannot resist stopping in most days of the week. They make the most delicious coffee! They even make an almond milk latte taste good - never burnt, always perfect. And, the staff is way dreamy.

First time here. Very cute space with an amazing open wall and outdoor seating. Super friendly barista made me feel like I'd been coming here for years! Will definitely come back with a book or to meet friends.
