One of the first places I went in Minneapolis and still one of my faves. I biked there out of my way this morning before my 7am serving shift and the barista was generously patient and gentle with my grumpy fog brain. Bless him. And bless those deliciously creative concoctions. I’m the worst coffee snob and know that I’ll never be disappointed/bored/sad at five watt. Just go there. And plan on getting at least two drinks because you can’t and shouldn’t have to choose just one. Xo.

Great service and tasty drinks. There's all the coffee you'd expect and more. Stuff with bitters, not too sweet, and sometimes salty. Cold press on tap. Toast and tunes on Sundays. Tea and pastries galore. The staff here are people I would call friends. Stop in and chat!

Quality place! The baristas were friendly and described their coffees well. The Chemex was solid and they also have some creative espresso drinks. They have pastries and an Adventure Toast menu (only during specific times).

Great coffee and beautiful space! The baristas are always cheerful and a joy to talk to.

Specialty drinks are out of this world, and the barista was patient while we decided between them! Really love the aesthetic of this place, even though it's pretty small. They have seating outside though if you want!

Five Watt is located on a main street, so finding it isn't too difficult. The sign is somewhat small, so look for the open garage door wall and all the people sitting on their laptops enjoying some REALLY GOOD coffee! The staff is very friendly and makes the experience worth the stop. Wifi connection was smooth with no buffering.

I’ve had about 100 kingfields from this place over the years and they never disappoint

Great coffee at reasonable prices. Cool atmosphere. I'm not the type of person to sit and linger at a coffee shop for very long but everybody else at this place certainly didn't have that issue. Would have been nice to have a place to sit and enjoy my coffee instead of standing around waiting for every hipster with their MacBook to finish their three-hour Facebook sesh.

Excellent coffee. I often go out of my way to grab a cup when passing by on 35W. Seems like a good place to hang out but I am usually getting coffee to go. Great meat market/butcher next door.

Staff pulls a fine shot in spite the undeserving bean quality (excessive malt taste). Service a little too laid back to my liking, but hey, they're not there to stack bills, it's ok. Just make sure you have enough time if you plan to come in on your way to somewhere else.
